The check in process was a bit shaky. The hotel is a refurbished bank building that has been turned into a hotel. The check in stand is in the middle of a long hallway. It was not really clear that was where you were to go. I would recommend valet service as the parking garage is around the corner. The room was great other than the cooling unit. They have tried to maintain as much of the original character of the early 1900's architecture. The hallway flooring is the old tile. The doors are the old wooden ones. The floors in the room were old hardwood floors. The room was quite comfortable and large. The air conditioner is housed in the ceiling above the bed. This unit went on and off all night long. The air blew right in your face. It made it hard to sleep. The location is great. There are a bunch of fun restaurants within walking distance. It was a quick walk to most of the attraction downtown.

Room Tip: corner suite was large. The shower was really large and the Jacuzzi was great.

My girlfriends and I recently visited Cleveland for a girl's getaway. This hotel was conveniently located on Euclid Ave. The room was much larger than expected, and the staff was very helpful. We were disappointed that we did not get a room on a higher floor as we had requested. Other TripAdvisor reviews had led us to requesting a room on a higher floor overlooking Euclid Ave, so we were very disappointed to have a view of the other buildings attached... Not even grass or sky... The manager's reception was nice. The building has lots of character, but it is in need of updates and finishing touches.

Excellent location, price and quality. Fun to check in at the former bank lobby. Super friendly reception. Our room was on the 15th floor "corner office". Big room with 6 huge windows and sky-high ceiling; we were really surprised when we walked in--I had to double check they hadn't put us in a special suite or something. Just a lovely, airy room -- very comfortable -- lots of counter space. We went by the manager's reception and were offered beverages and different appetizers -- we could have had a pulled pork sandwich if we'd been hungry! The hotel is just down the street from 4th street which is a hopping pedestrian area featuring many diverse restaurants and is about a 15 minute walk to the R&R Hall of Fame. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, we tried to extend our stay one additional night because we were so enjoying the room but the hotel was booked, so make your reservations early!!

Excellent location, in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Easy walking distance to major shopping, Rock n Roll HOF, etc. Pretty good service, nice room on 14th floor, free breakfast and happy hour with 2 drinks.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor with view towards lake erie

This is a wonderful hotel that has so much character & history with its previous life being a bank. While it was a little challenging to navigate the construction in the area, once we arrived it was great. From the moment pulling up with Jake (valet) taking care of getting us unloaded & getting the car tucked away to Brittany at the front desk checking us in. The room was fantastic! I asked for a room with a view & Brittany assigned us to the 15th floor, corner room with hardwood floors, comfy king bed & Jacuzzi! Oh, and when we got to the room my husband realized he had left his IPad in the car. No problem - he called the number on the ticket Jake had provided & Jake shared he would go get it & it would be at the front desk for us. Great customer service!
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is due to the confusion in trying to find the breakfast area on the Main floor - you had to go down a flight of stairs behind the pool table to get to it (what do your patrons do who have limited mobility). Signage might have helped (sorry if it was there & I missed it). We were close to Fourth Street where a number of restaurants were within walking distance & the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. So wonderful to have the Jacuzzi in the room after walking all day seeing the sites! Excellent price, location & quality!

Room Tip: Ask for a room as high as they have available to be able to view the city & lake.

If you can make it past the temporary looking reception desk set up in an old office lobby and the smallest elevator you've probably have ever been in then you will be in for a treat when you reach your room. The largest hotel room I've been in in a long time, with hardwood floors and 15 foot high ceilings. The bathroom was adequate with granite counter top. No minifridge though ice machines on most floors. Great location downtown. Two minute walk to the action on 4th street ,ten minutes to the Rock Hall of fame.Self parking is $15.00 per night, make sure you get your parking ticket validated by the hotel and insert validated ticket in machine when exiting the parking structure. Good complimentary breakfast, and Monday through Thursday complimentary manager reception serving beer, wine , and softdrinks. Discount available for Cleveland Clinic patrons.

We were upgraded to a suite and other than our windows facing another building, it was great. This is in an old bank building. It is huge - the suite would be perfect for an extended stay - lovely hardwood floors, very spacious, kitchenette, nice bathroom. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking was about a half a block away but easy to find. We hate having to pay for parking, but that's the way it is in the city. Walking distance to everything which was great. Manager's reception was a nice touch. Appetizers and 2 free drinks per guest. Breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express - nice selection, well stocked. Without question we would stay here again.
