“very nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

Excellent location, in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Easy walking distance to major shopping, Rock n Roll HOF, etc. Pretty good service, nice room on 14th floor, free breakfast and happy hour with 2 drinks.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor with view towards lake erie

This is a wonderful hotel that has so much character & history with its previous life being a bank. While it was a little challenging to navigate the construction in the area, once we arrived it was great. From the moment pulling up with Jake (valet) taking care of getting us unloaded & getting the car tucked away to Brittany at the front desk checking us in. The room was fantastic! I asked for a room with a view & Brittany assigned us to the 15th floor, corner room with hardwood floors, comfy king bed & Jacuzzi! Oh, and when we got to the room my husband realized he had left his IPad in the car. No problem - he called the number on the ticket Jake had provided & Jake shared he would go get it & it would be at the front desk for us. Great customer service!
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is due to the confusion in trying to find the breakfast area on the Main floor - you had to go down a flight of stairs behind the pool table to get to it (what do your patrons do who have limited mobility). Signage might have helped (sorry if it was there & I missed it). We were close to Fourth Street where a number of restaurants were within walking distance & the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. So wonderful to have the Jacuzzi in the room after walking all day seeing the sites! Excellent price, location & quality!

Room Tip: Ask for a room as high as they have available to be able to view the city & lake.

If you can make it past the temporary looking reception desk set up in an old office lobby and the smallest elevator you've probably have ever been in then you will be in for a treat when you reach your room. The largest hotel room I've been in in a long time, with hardwood floors and 15 foot high ceilings. The bathroom was adequate with granite counter top. No minifridge though ice machines on most floors. Great location downtown. Two minute walk to the action on 4th street ,ten minutes to the Rock Hall of fame.Self parking is $15.00 per night, make sure you get your parking ticket validated by the hotel and insert validated ticket in machine when exiting the parking structure. Good complimentary breakfast, and Monday through Thursday complimentary manager reception serving beer, wine , and softdrinks. Discount available for Cleveland Clinic patrons.

We were upgraded to a suite and other than our windows facing another building, it was great. This is in an old bank building. It is huge - the suite would be perfect for an extended stay - lovely hardwood floors, very spacious, kitchenette, nice bathroom. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking was about a half a block away but easy to find. We hate having to pay for parking, but that's the way it is in the city. Walking distance to everything which was great. Manager's reception was a nice touch. Appetizers and 2 free drinks per guest. Breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express - nice selection, well stocked. Without question we would stay here again.

We chose this hotel so we could park once and see several attractions in the downtown area. We walked to the Rock Hall of fame, progressive field and the horseshoe casino and felt comfortable doing so. The hotel is a restored bank building. Our rooms were not ready when we checked in at 5:30 pm even though check in time was 4:00 and our rooms had been booked for 3 months. After a unhelpful response from the person checking us in we asked for a manager who found us two rooms and discounted our rate. The managers reception was very nice as was the breakfast. The rooms were spacious , king bed was very comfortable. There was a coffee cup left on the floor by the previous guest. The elevators are small, only large enough for 4 people. Upon returning from the baseball game the elevators were quite backed up in the lobby. Overall it is a nice hotel and I would stay here again.

The hotel room was one of the best I ever stayed in. It was clean, the hardwoods in the room were beautiful and the huge ceilings were great. The service was awesome. Randie, our bell hop/concierge was awesome. He was polite and very helpful to all of our needs. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean. I would certainly come back again and refer any friends or family headed to Cleveland to check them out. The walk to get a bite to eat was a nice walk.
