“Convenient, Clean, Comfortable, Unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Really unique & hUge rooms with hardwood floors! Clean & comfortable . Good breakfast bar. Coffee in room is not worth drinking. Staff is Okay. Convenient downtown location. Price is right.Lobby is not too inviting; like an old post office. Sterile common areas & halls.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and huge. The location was good, too. It's very close to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and excellent restaurants. My only complaint is that the mattress/box spring on the bed was saggy. Remember to bring cash for the hotel parking garage ($16 overnight in the PNC center around back).

Hard to believe that a Holiday Inn Express would be located in an art deco building from the 1800s, but this one is. Room was very large; hotel has all hardwood floors. Location is great; downtown Cleveland attractions, whether sports arenas, House of Blues, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, are all walking distance. Parking was discounted in a convenient lot. Staff was terrific and very helpful. We were able to get a room @ this property for significantly less than some chains were charging for rooms in suburban Cleveland. Highly recommended!

My husband and I attended a Social Distortion show at the House of Blues back in October. This hotel was perfect for us. We were within a few minutes of walking to the venue, and had plenty of eateries and shops to hit during the wait! The Room was gorgeous with high ceiling, big arched windows, and wooden floor. Loved staying here. The Lobby was very cool with the historic architecture.

We Checked into this hotel in the lobby of a vintage Art Deco Era Bank. Stone and marble walls and floors the ceiling 30 feet high. with slight trepidation as this is not your ordinary Holiday Inn.

ALL the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home.

If possible and your budget or points allow you to, get room 1503. On the South East corner of the building. On the Top Floor. South East exposure. windows on both sides. 14 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, a great view, peace and quite, and spacious.

The Front Desk person who checked us in said this "was her favorite room". She had worked at other HIs but this was still her favourite room. Ours too!

My wife and i were on a baseball tour from our room we could see the game at the stadium and the game on TV.

Truly a great stay. Right downtown, across the road from the tourist bureau, half way between the Rock hall and the Baseball stadium, one block from shopping and the casino. On the bus and free trolley line. Close accessible parking.

We would definitely return.

Room Tip: 1503, what more is to tell?

Stayed at this Holiday Inn for two nights to catch the Eagles at the Q Arena and the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field and couldn't have asked for more in a downtown hotel!! It's location in an old bank building is impressive, with 14 foot ceilings, beautiful old hardwood floors which were impeccably clean, huge windows (we overlooked Progressive Field and the Quicken Arena - our room was on the 14th floor, and I would recommend asking for an upper floor room with a view as it is worth it!). It is a two block walk to the arena/ballpark, with several restaurants along the way. (Our favourite was The Winking Lizard, near Progressive Field - great pub fare, perfect sports' atmosphere and a large variety for every member in our party!) It's an easy walk to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this section of Cleveland is very well frequented by tourists, making us feel safe in a city that does not always boast that reputation! We will definitely return, and this will most certainly be our hotel of choice!!

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms facing the stadium/arena have a great view!

My family stayed two nights in July. We chose the hotel because it's centrally located a few blocks from Progressive Field. The hotel is set within a former bank building. Our room was large with ample space for our child's stroller. The high ceilings made the room feel larger. Surprisingly quiet room despite overlooking the busy Euclid Avenue. The elevators were small but could fit both of us and the stroller -- but little else. Breakfast quality was consistent with the reasonable price we paid for our stay. The styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery seemed very wasteful. Would be better to have re-usable plates and cutlery. Parking is $14 per day and located across the street (515 Euclid Avenue). We left the car and walked throughout the downtown. A surprisingly walkable city with the hotel centred around many of the popular attractions.
