“Great location and professional service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

This hotel has a great location to the baseball park (Indians) and short 10 minute walk to Rock and Roll Hall of fame. We were also in town for tour of Case Western, and that was a short10-15 minute easy drive. The gentlemen at the front desk were professional and courteous, especially when I asked for a room change (a bit more quiet) from Alex. Also found valets to be friendly, and producing cars to front door super quickly. The rooms were ample, and clean. They are a tiny bit dated,...bathrooms and carpet could be updated....but everything else really outweighs that. Price for the room and services was reasonable. The in-house restaurant/bar not that appealing to our family--it was a bit too sparse/lacked atmosphere--and we never ate there. Lots of dining options within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on high floor--and actually street side is quieter because airconditioners, etc. on b...

We stayed at the Radisson Gateway because we were attending an Indians game. Not having to drive and park at the game is nice. The hotel is clean staff was helpful. We used the parking and breakfast package. Will stay again when attending events at Progressive field or the Q

A close ride from Michigan this hotel is in the perfect place for food\beverages\casino\baseball and music. Getting to the location from the highway is a breeze and the valet service is top notch. A few blocks from Progressive Filed, a few steps from the casino and your set. Oh and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame is great too!

Location is everything and if you are going to Progressive Field or the Q arena the location is fantastic it is pretty much just across the street some reviews say 2 blocks not sure where the got that from having just been there. The hotel itself seems to be in need of a little spruceup perhaps a little brighter colors it appears to be a bit dated and the lobby a bit stark. The room was clean but again this is a older property and right in the middle of th city - the bed was clean and comfortable the bathroom could use a bit of work and perhaps a change of shower curtain but again older property in the city. They also seem a bit shortstaffed as when we arrived at 4pm for check in we were about the 20th person in line waiting for a room since housekeeping was still cleaning them but I will say that the desk person was very gracius and did make up for the inconvienance with a free breakfast. The restuarant was not that great and appeared to be in need of some big time sprucing up it was not dirty but did not appear overly clean and the staff was not overly friendly we seemed to be a bother to them. I would recommend eating somewhere else but for sure would stay at this hotel again for the location and ease of getting in and out of the city.

Room Tip: I would ask for a high room facing progressive field.

I thought something was not quite right with the bedding as soon as i arrived. Both beds had white sheets and bed covers that looked slightly rumpled and used. After a fun night downtown, we got ready to go to bed, and my daughter peeled back the covers on her bed to find a big brown soiled spot on the bottom sheet. I lifted the sheet and cover on my bed back and found some smaller suspicious marks on my sheet, and then I folded the top cover back and found a brown stain underneath. There was also something on the sheet that could have been dryer lint or some other kind of debris. I suspected that the bedding hadn't been changed from the previous guest, so we tried to find someone from housekeeping to change the bedding with no luck. The best we could do was to find some clean sheets and put them on ourselves. The parking situation and customer service also failed in my opinion. If you opt for the valet parking, you could wait for 15 min. for them to bring your car around. If you ask the staff for directions to the parking garage, they tell you they don't know how to get to it. The only thing I did like about this place is that it is within walking distance to many food and fun destinations.

Room Tip: Check your room, particularly your bed before you are ready to settle in for the night.

This hotel is located 2 blocks from Progressive Field, we honestly walked there in less than 5 minutes. Its near many of the bars and nightlife after the fact....Cleveland is a fun place. You are also within a 5 minute walk of the Cavaliers Stadium. Sorry Browns fans,,,,that is near the water an a good cab drive away.

The hotel was a little dated inside and the lobby is fairly small. Watch out for the tricky elevators, one of our guys was caught in the staff elevator for quite some time (not sure what was wrong with it). There is a bar in the lobby area. We got there early and the beer was all locked up and there was a little mess with that but it was not because the staff didn't care - it was just a matter of finding the keys. The beds were comfortable and the room was cool enough for me. The shower pressure was great. There is a great shopping area almost boutique like and an awesome breakfast place in there. That was about a 10 minute walk, the hotel staff can tell you where it is. There is a parking garage nearby. It was about a 2 block walk.

Overall, a good stay. The only reason it didn't get a 4 was because of the elevator and bar issues.

Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Close to all the sporting arenas in Cleveland and walking distance to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I would stay here again if I ever come back to Cleveland.
