“Come armed with patience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

We had two rooms. Check in, from valet to getting to our room, was 35 minutes even though nobody else was waiting to check in. The room didn't have a mini fridge and one of the tubs didn't drain at all. The sinks weren't much better. But the beds were comfortable and it was clean. Breakfast was included but we didn't partake so I can't rate it. Just get there earlier than you need and be prepared to find your own parking if you don't want to pay $20/night.

Kwood, thank you for the travel opinion. We appreciate guest feedback and apologize for the delay on arrival. Our hotel utilizes the guest feedback in our weekly training session to always strive for improvement in guest service. We always recommend guest valet park, as parking in downtown can be tricky with certain parking lots closing, changes in pricing on arrival and departure from a parking lot because of a sports event. We thank you for the business and look forward to visiting our hotel on your next trip to downtown Cleveland.

sincerely,
The Radisson Gateway Team

Excellent, helpful staff. Scrupulously clean. Very comfortable, nice-size rooms. Older property, could stand a bit of renovation but perfectly maintained. Best location in the city. Across from baseball park and basketball arena, easy walk to 4th street. Not far walk to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the football stadium.

Roberta, thank you for the travel opinion. We really appreciate our guest feedback to provide insight, as consistently strive to improve our hotel and guest service. You mentioned several items for all guest to read; our location is ideal as we are close to all the exciting and entertaining venues within downtown Cleveland. In regards to plans to renovate, watch for this in later 2013. We have a new restaurant starting construction and some face lifts to our guest rooms. We look forward to seeing in downtown Cleveland for your next visit.

This Radisson was a nice hotel. Comfortable and clean but in need of updating. The location is fantastic if you are going to the Q to watch a Cavs game or to see the Indians play as both stadiums are right across the street. The location was the best thing about the hotel. Also, there were many restaurants surrounding the hotel and the mall and Horseshoe Casino were not a far walk.

The room service was prompt and delicious and the breakfast buffet was good as well. They lacked a real bar, only offering several options.

Stayed here to go to a Cleveland Cavs game at the Quicken Arena. This hotel has nice rooms. The valet parking is nice to have but plan on adding an extra $20 to your bill. The hotel is right next to the Quicken Arena and the new Horseshoe Casino. If you plan on going to the Casino I would recommend you get the "players package" (I think that is what it is called). You get a $50 voucher for the casino when you book it that way, its a bit more but worth it when you get the voucher and your parking paid for. Great place to stay in Cleveland. The front desk and valet are very friendly and helpful as well. They also have sleep number beds if you like that kind of thing, I don't know what my sleep number is so I was either sleeping on a brick or it was so soft I was sinking into the bed. You can also go downstairs to a morning breakfast buffet that is also I included in the "players package" but I think it is $9.99 if you don't get the package. They also have options for room service as well. It was a bit pricey, but worth it.

We appreciate the guest comments. A good choice and recommendation to others seeking stay packages. You definitely receive more value for the price! Also, great choice to go for a win at the casino. Our team works very hard to always showcase the best in hospitality. You mentioning the central location of the hotel is valid, you can walk to everything for your entertainment needs- basketball, baseball, rock hall museum, casino, restaurant and bars. Everything is on our block or within 3 blocks of the hotel.

My stay was punctuated by pleasant surprises all the way through. Sleep Number beds in the rooms, helpful suggestions from proud local staff, and beautiful accomodations. The location may just be the best in Cleveland, across from the Baseball Stadium, QL Arena, and plenty of local nightlife/restaurants. A wonderful experience.

A short hop, skip and step to the QL arena, decent "free" breakfast but the coffee strong and bitter, convenient $20 valet parking but they didn't warm up the engine for us, free Internet. I didn't enjoy the $1.70 charge for each local call made due to lost cell phone. I would definitely stay here again due to convenient location.

Thank you for the travel review. We appreciate your business and value the guest feedback. Mentioning the close area to all the local attraction is helpful to all individuals seeking a hotel in downtown Cleveland. We very close to all the main attractions within downtown, 1 block from Progressive Field, 3 blocks from the casino and directly across the street from the Q arena. We look forward to your next visit to downtown.
