“Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

If I ever need to stay in downtown Cleveland, I will 100% stay here again!

We stayed here while we were in town for a brown's preseason game and I could not be happier with the location! I love that it is right next to restaurants in a little alley and then only a 5 minute walk to west 6th street! The room was HUGE, the kitchen was very convenient, and we loved the free breakfast in the morning! It did take a bit to walk over to the wing where our room was, but the hotel setup was so unique I loved every time we walked through the mall area.

We stayed at the Residence Inn in downtown Cleveland, Ohio during a wekend getaway. It is very close (walking distance) to the Casino and Indians ball park. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. The rooms were spacious and well maintained.

This place is located in a prime spot and is within walking distance to the best things Cleveland has to offer. Staff were extremely friendly and everyone we passed greeting us with a sincere "good morning" or "good afternoon". The hotel is a bit old but is charming and most importantly very clean. Slept soundly where street noise was non existent. I can't stress how great this place is.

We had a group of about 18 people and were able to get a good group rate. Key items were being able to get 3 people in a room via 2 queen beds and a sofa bed as well as having a good location. The hotel itself appears to be almost part of a mall, where going upstairs involves you walking along a long balcony to get to your rooms while seeing a whole bunch of stores below. It was less annoying and more different, but might grate if you were staying longer than a weekend. They had drinks, snacks and beer to sell downstairs (available until 2:30am which was useful given bars close at 2) and also a pool room visible from the lobby that we also utilized deep into the night (safely away from rooms). Complimentary buffet breakfast was also solid as well.

All in all I'd definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you're going to a game as baseball/basketball are both walking distance and there are a ton of bars all a few feet away.

This was a great hotel. Located near some great attractions in Cleveland. The parking was kind of tough (they contract with a garage a few doors down) and would have been really tough had there been en event like a ballgame going on. The room we had was HUGE and the full kitchen was great. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I will absolutely look to stay here again on our next trip to Cleveland. Beds were a little hard but still not too bad.

Stopped here on a road trip to Chicago. Very nice place to stay, and very helpful, friendly staff. Downtown Cleveland is not difficult to navigate, as there is not much traffic. The hotel is a very short walk from Progressive Field for baseball, and close to basketball arena as well. We did walk to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (which was great!), but as it is nearly a mile from the hotel, the walk may not be for everyone. The hotel serves a very nice breakfast on the second floor, and they also hold evening receptions on some weekday nights. This is a good choice for downtown Cleveland!

This hotel is in a fantastic location !! Great restaurants around the corner, comedy club, shops etc. AS WELL AS all 3 major sport venues (Browns, Indians, & Cavs) within walking distance ! Cleveland is a cool town (at least in the summer) with everything so close downtown. This hotel is very unique in that it appears to have been a restored older hotel (I guess anyway) the layout is quite strange in that you go up one floor then walk to the other end of the hotel (150 yd's.) to ANOTHER elevator to go up to the rest of the floors. The room while very large were a bit dated and the mattress on my bed needed to be "retired" ... the cleaning lady was VERY sweet and helpful and did a great job. Overall the location trumps any pitfalls the hotel may have ( other than needing new mattress's )... Oh yes they also have a pretty decent breakfast buffet every morning.
