We had a lovely trip to the Guesthouse. Mr. Parker is a treasure, full of great stories of the art and African-american communities in Cleveland, but ready to step back if he senses you want more privacy. The rooms were comfortable and immaculately clean. Bedding was good and the room was quiet. He let my daughter join us for breakfast for no additional charge. The decor is interesting, and the en-suite bathrooms are nice.
I do not understand the negative review from catherineb67 at all. It is not a "doily on the nightstand-chocolate on the pillow" type of place, but is all the more interesting for it. There was no musty smell, the furniture is not antique but was in good repair and presentable. The review makes me wonder if there was another reason for the adverse reaction to Mr. Parker and his lovely place. . .
