“Excellent Value; Very Clean Rooms!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2009

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was satisfied. The room was very clean, including the bathroom and the linens. The hotel is dated, but it is a great value and I would recommend this hotel to anyone for its cleanliness, value, and convenience to downtown locations, including the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. The hotel also has a fully stocked bar on site. Only a 5 to 10 minute drive to Case Western Reserve University and the Rock' n 'Roll Hall of Fame. Highly Recommend!

I stayed there for 4 nights.
The hotel totally is not a new facility, but they try to keep it clean.
The rooms, bathroom, sheets were clean.
Breakfast was very basic. Their shuttle to cleveland clinic and UH is really helpful.
I believe the price which I paid for this place and the city of Cleveland was high.
It is just a simple place.

My friend and I stayed overnight and overall the hotel isnt that bad but they could use some updates. The biggest plus was the staff being very friendly and helpful. The room was obviously smoked in before and we had no option of choosing a non smoking room. There was only one bath towel in the bathroom and it was like sand paper, luckily we read the other reviews beforehand and brought our own. The bathroom light was very dim and there was no ventilation. There was no iron and the coffee maker had no pot or filters. They had them available but you had to get them all from the front desk with your ID, which was kind of inconvenient. The location was alright, close to the attractions but kind of in the middle of rundown businesses. Overall, the room was decent. It was clean and upkept but just needed some updates. I wouldnt recommend a long stay but if you just need a place to sleep for a night, its nice.

Stayed for labor day. Room was decent. Not a five star hotel but close to dowwntown and free parking. Best if all you want is a cheap hotel downtown. No amenities but does have a bar and restaurant on site. Staff helpful as well.

We stayed at the hotel to enjoy a concert in Cleveland. Older building in need of updating. We came in late and crawled into bed. We were disgusted in the morning to find live bugs in our daughter's bed. We told the front desk supervisor of our finding and he asked "Did you sleep with the windows open all night?" To which I respond "Of course not!" Staff were not responsive to our concern. Renovations need done, housekeeping needs to clean better, staff need to be better responsive to customer's concerns, and an exterminator called. We won't be staying at this location again!

If you're looking for a place to crash, this will suite your needs. REALLY disappointed that the four days we were there, the pool wasnt maintained AT ALL. It was GREEN and unclean. I reserved rooms here because they had a pool and I couldnt even swim! It's summer! Clean the d*mn pool! Also was told I could receive a discount on the rooms If I showed admission papers to college. I did...no discount. It's a bed, and a tv, a place to crash if you have plans elsewhere in the city.

very unprofessional
it is not advertised that this hotel is under construction or that it is a privately owned hotel.
because it is privately owned, it lacked service and it seemed liek the employees did not care about the appearance of the hotel, or themseleves. (skateboard shoes and spiked wrist bands)
2/3 lamps in the room did not work
the shower is permanently tinted yellow.
do not dine or order from the restaurant in the building. it is overpriced and not very good. (1 chicken fried rice, sweet/sour chicken, kungpow chicken and lemon chicken was 40$) and it only fed 2.
the bed sheets did not fit the king size bed, they kept sliding off all night.
overall, definetly not worth spending 85$ + taxes for this place and it is also located in a run down area.
there is lots of closed down buildings and its a 10$ cab ride to get to the actual downtown.
hope this helps.
