We began staying here a few years ago when visiting family in Chardon and love it. Rooms are large, well stocked and comfortable. Restaurant is cozy with nice menu. Service always pleasant and attentive at the Inn and restaurant. Recommend!!

Every Memorial Day, we plan a golf weekend with our friends and this year we chose the Bass Lake Inn and took advangeage of their Stay and Play Golf package. We loved it. It was so convenient to the Chardon Lakes Golf Course, as well as to the Bass Lake Taverne. Once we parked our cars we never had to go back to them until it was time to leave. We took advantage of the spectacular happy hour at the Taverne and also had a delicious dinner there. The accomodations at the hotel were great. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast basket was plentiful and the outdoor deck had a wonderful view. Only wish my golf game would have been better!! We will definitely be back....

GREAT place to stay - very homey and awesome customer service! Loved opening the blinds to see the lake. Did not have a chance to eat at the restaurant but the continental breakfast was more than adequate.

The food is here is very good.
A warm inviting atmosphere.
The bartender/waitress Sara is wonderful.
Specials are a great value although the appetizers are my favorite!
I can just have 2 or 3 apps and be happy.
The Duck breast and the Smoked-gouda grits are 2 of my favorites.

For $139 + tax, we got a king room, a $50 gift card to spend at the taverne for dinner, chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine. This is a great package for couples looking for an overnight getaway close to home. The rooms have a fireplace, small fridge and whirlpool bathtub. Rooms also have a small patio that overlooks a pond. We enjoyed both the food and the service at the restaurant. We met the chef and could tell he is very passionate about his work. We ordered an appetizer of artichoke and crabmeat dip that was phenomenal. The owner even stopped by our table to check-in with us to see how everything was going. The only minor complaint was that the heater in the room was a little noisy throughout the night as it kicked on and off. We solved that problem by turning it off and just using the fireplace to keep the room warm. We book this package every year with friends. The rooms are big enough for some light entertaining. Overall, a fantastic visit!

Room Tip: Ask for a downstairs room so that you don't have to carry your luggage upstairs.

We took my in-laws there for a birthday meal. The service was beyond slow. We were there for two hours when we could have been done in half the time. The server would stay at other tables (the restaurant was not busy) of what I'm guessing were her regulars, talking for long periods of time. She only refilled our drinks when we asked and even that took a long time. I ordered a small bottle of sparkling wine. Our server brought it to the table and had me open it which I found odd.

The food was great but a little pricey. A burger with fries was about $11. I got a side of butternut squash with a pecan butter that was amazing. My husband had pork tenderloins, my father-in-law got roasted turkey with mushroom bread pudding, and my mother-in-law got a small plate of scallops in a berry sauce with rice. We all got baked potato soup as well. The soup was good but could have been warmer.

Next time we will just sit at the bar to dine that way we can ensure that our server/bartender is able to meet out needs in a more timely manner.

This is our 6th stay at the Inn. We are always so happy to be there. The beds are very comfortable, nice fireplace, balcony, wildlife to watch, and very close to town. Everyone is so accommodating and does everything to make your stay nicer. They always say yes if you need something special. If you want a super large hotel chain, this isn't for you. If you want to relax in a comfortable, quiet, and peaceful setting, then this is for you. It always is for us.
