We were worried about this hotel after reading all the bad reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised after arriving. It seemed clean and had high ceilings. It wasn't fancy, but was certainly adequate for what we needed (just somewhere to sleep!). The rooms of our large group were rearranged so that they could be closer together. For the price, this was a good place to stay, and was convenient to get to BGSU.

  • Liked — good price, location near BGSU, allowed pets
  • Disliked — "do not disturb" sign could only be on when you're in the room

If having heat in your room during a cold december weekend and warm water in the shower is something you dont care about then this is the place for you. !!! The room was very big as we had 2 adults and 2 kids in the room but it was freezing in there and everyone had to sleep with socks and long sleeve shirts. A space heater was brought in and that just caused fuses to blow. Front desk could care less..... Why cant this town get some name brand hotels across from the college.

The trouble started with the reservation (screwed up and caused by availability due to Tractor Pull) and we paid 130+ because of some funny event going down in this city.
The rust peels off the bathroom door, the first burst of water is rusty brown, the entire hotel smells like a mixture of clorox, and some other cleaner (do not mix cleaners!) Our non smoking room must have been recently converted to a non smoking room.
Pool was alrighty, the jaquzy (SP, sorry) needs a round of clorox, polish or a sandblaster. The staff is friendly (attempt) but has no clue about food or transportation within the city. Most certainly not worth the money, and people, at 130+ a night a shuttle to pick you up or drop customers off at the Bowling Green Airport should be STANDARD. Thats a 1.5 mile walk nobody needs. Oh, breakfast is out of a fridge, mostly plastic packaged food (junk), some sort of coffee, 1.5 gallon milkpacks and orange juice, frozen (!) bagels you have to toast yourself and some small boxes of cereal. Hardly called a breakfast. Pictures will follow this time, promise!

  • Liked — The fact that they had a room available.
  • Disliked — See review + a shaky wireless internet connection

Our room was filthy. Carpet was dirty, chairs had white stains, a good layer of visible dust under the beds, etc. Our bathroom door would not shut, and the backside of it was bent upwards, peeling away, and rust covered metal. The water in the shower never shut off completely and dripped constantly. No water pressure either. Some of the bathroom tile grout was black. The coffee pot was dirty - blech! There was a layer of dust on top of the amoire, and there was a questionable rement left on top, aged brown from sitting there (either the end of a hand rolled cigarette or other and it was a non-smoking room). The pool had something plastic floating in it when we arrived, and there were leaves floating in the hot tub. No towels were offered at the pool either.

Upon arrival at this hotel, we had difficulty getting ice and were informed we had to wait to get ice. Then we called to ask for assistance and the person who answered the phone stated"what do you want now". The room was dirty, the bed was broke, the tv remote did not work. The envirnoment was awful, burnt maks on the furniture and no decor in the room. I asked upon arrival if this included a breakfast and was told yes, however, breakfast was only cold cereal. I feel that if something is offered it should be given. The whole stay was awful and I would never stay at that hotel ever again. I had more people traveling with me but they were wiser and refused to stay at this hotel. I feel that no one should have to pay for such a awful place and this place should be closed down by the health dept. of Ohio. And that will be my next letter, to the Health Dept. Of Ohio to advise them of the horrible health risks at that hotel.

My review comes without the benefit of even staying at this LESS than friendly hotel . I called to simply get information on room availbalility. The male person who answered was less than helpful in volunteering any information. What I got was "the standard room is ***. " I asked if that was for a double or king or what ? What kind of rooms are available such as king beds, 2 doubles, jacuzzi, pool? "yeah there's a pool" . He said I could go to the Quality Inn web site and see what kind of rooms they have. Needless to say, the price he quoted did not match that on the web site and he seemed to be in no hurry to make a sale or satisfy a customer. So, no, I won't be staying there nor will it be recommended to anyone from me or my sources. Sorry Charlie. Don't you wonder if I was calling from a hotel review commitee from an agnecy for rating hotels?

newly remodeled. I was concerned because my son - a student at BG - didn't know the name. Formerly Quality Inn, the room was pleasant, the hotel was quiet. It was a good value, and I would stay there again. No problems. I stayed at other hotels in the area, and preferred this one.

  • Disliked — no problems, but I don't have high needs.
