“Very nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2008

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was one of the cleanest I have stayed in recent months.
Hotel is a very nice area of the city. I was worried because all I knew about this area was it was the outskirts of Dayton.

The only complaints I have and they are not usually required for my selection of a hotel but are nice extras to have.
They are:

1.) There were no refrigerators or microwaves in rooms.

2.) No complimentary breakfast as most hotels of this caliber usually have.

3.) This trip it wasn’t required but if they had pet accommodations I would be more apt to look at them first in the future.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here very much.

It looks as if we will be coming to Beavercreek several times a year for some years to come because son and family just moved here. We thought this would be a "haven." We often stay at Courtyards so didn't hesitate to book our "first" stay here. Well...when we came to the reception desk there was an animated and loud "discussion" going on between the housekeeping supervisor and several others. It wasn't quite an argument but it also was NOT welcoming. They were totally oblivious to our presence as guests and just kept complaining to each other. The room is "ok" but lampshades are lopsided and sliding door to the little balcony would not lock - and the screen door was just leaning up against the wall on the balcony. There is a general sense of minimal attention. Will we return? Not until we check out other motels in the area...

I stayed there in Jan 08 as a business traveler. My room was clean and all the staff were friendly. It is walking distance to the Madison Mall and was conveniently located near restaurants, fast food places, Walmart and a Sam's Club. The bed was comfortable. The fitness room was average - small room with 5 or 6 machines with a t.v. on the wall. The indoor pool looked nice but I did not use it. High speed wireless internet access in the room was free. Overall, a nice room with friendly staff.

The Courtyard in Beavercreek is not unlike dozens of other Courtyards I've stayed at in my travels. That is certainly not a bad thing as I found it, just like others in the chain, a good value with plenty of amenities and as much comfort as one can expect in this tier of hotels.

This particular Courtyard is near the Fairfield Commons Mall on the mall's access road. This can be good and bad. During the Christmas season, getting into and out of the hotel parking lot can be a little slow as there is no direct access to New Germany Trebein. Other times of the year (I've also stayed at this hotel in May) should not be a problem.

The hotel lobby is clean, service at the desk is good (even when you check in at 2:00am after air problems) and the breakfast buffet is a decent value.

The rooms are adequately sized. I have only stayed in their rooms with a king bed. They are slightly cozier than it looks like the two-queen rooms are (clearly you need more room for two bead rather than one). The beds themselves are very comfortable. Not like the beds found in Marriott or Renaissance branded hotels, but a step up from, say, a Hampton or Comfort Inn.

Amenities include an indoor pool, a smaller exercise facility, vending, free wireless internet in the rooms and a computer for use downstairs.

Overall, for price I have normally seen for this hotel's basic rooms ($80-100), I think it is a good value. The fact that it is always clean, that the linens seem to be in good shape, the service desk is adequately responsive and that there are quite a few amenities at your disposal makes me feel this is an above average experience for this level of hotel.

This is a brand new hotel right across the street from the Beavercreek Mall. Plenty of shopping and eating almost within walking distance. Right off the highway. It is well run, clean, very functional, and well located. Stayed here for business for 5 nights. Overall, a good value.

  • Liked — This new hotel is very clean.
  • Disliked — Main doors are push/pull. Not very helpful when you don't have a free hand.

Travel 50-80 nites per year mostly for work and mostly at Marriott Prorperties - lots of Courtyards. Stayed here to be in close proximity to Wright Patterson AFB. Good business traveler location. Plenty of food options nearby. Beyond that this is just a typical Courtyard. I gave it a 3 but if I needed to get a little more detailed it probably would be more like a 3.1.

I selected this hotel because of good experience with other Courtyard motels and the very good weekend rate offered by this hotel. The hotel is sited adjacent to a nice shopping mall and it convenient to I-675 in Beavercreek. Check-in was easy but the I was a bit disappointed in the room size and bed comfort, as compared to other Courtyards in which I have stayed. Also, the mirrored bi-fold closet doors were difficult to open/close and the handle on one side was loose. I tightened the two screws holding the handle to the frame and both threads were stripped.
It was still a decent hotel, however: clean, modern, quiet and with complimentary internet acccess. There is also a small cafe off the lobby which provides breakfast for a fee. I would definitely consider staying there again, but not expect as much as I did on my first visit.

  • Liked — Convenient location; great weekend rate
  • Disliked — Not as comfortable as prior Courtyards
