a lovely old home but rather tired. Artificial flowers and blowed light globes did not give a good first impression. The open fireplace was not set, but eventually did find a small basket of firewood, some to big to fit into the fireplace. A cosy night reading by the fire was not possible due to the lack of reading lamps and working ceiling light globes. Breakfast provisions (continental only) were on the hallstand and the fridge and toaster in the large bathroom. The bed was very comfitable. Very underwelming and very overpriced for our special night away.

Sorry to hear Ray that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We have taken your Criticism's on board and used them to our advantage! We Would have loved you to have read our Welcome Note that is visible to all our guests who stay with us ....which clearly states that if you need anything please call us as we are only a phone call away. (Just like you would do if staying in a hotel) We would have come to you within 5 minutes and changed the light globe that had blown(which we were'nt aware of) and if you wanted more firewood there is a Shed FULL of chopped up wood that you could have used ALL night long. Unfortunately for us you didnt give us opportunity to rectify what we think are very small issues.....As for our price - if we dropped our price to what you think is fair - we would be $30 more than the local Caravan Park and as much as the local Caravan Park is nice it is not a lovely 1850,s home ...with a 2 person Spa/Queensize Bed/2 person Shower/Mini Bar Fridge/Reverse Cycle Airconditioning/ Light Continental Breakfast which includes Tea and Coffees/Magazines/.Books/CD Player/TV and your own dining and lounge room and a lovely Verandah to sit and drink your morning Coffee. We have been in business for 12 years and our price has increased with CPI only and what other B&B's are charging in the Adelaide Hills. Mind you we are only one of a few that do one night's accomodation only- most B&Bs you will find you need a minimum of 2 nights- As for the vase of artifical flowers - Well its Winter - and most flowers this time of year are scarce. We have 2 Bedrooms which both have 4 lamps between them - We have listened to your Critcism and now have a lovely reading lamp now in the Lounge Room for all guests to enjoy! Have a lovely day.
