“So good, So close!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

This was to be our destination to celebrate and refuel from our first serious bike ride (80km round trip) but has now become a place to get to any which way. Always new seasonal dishes on the board and great staff serving. Love the displays of goodies and the fresh baked after brunch/lunch treats. We still cannot drag ourselves away without sampling a fresh baked cake or muffin with an additional coffee. There are daily papers, magazines and art work to relish in a very relaxed and comfortable space - with carefully selected music choices!
love your work guys!

“Great coffee!”

Hard to find good coffee so this was a find. Excellent range of delicious cheeses and a stack of local produce. Great nook in this town

“Blessed food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

Went to 'Blessed Cheese' with family for lunch while holidaying for a couple of days in the area. i liked the fact that this little cafe showcases local produce and artists, and sells a lot of items at the counter, that are on the menu. It had a number of tables outside the front, but there was also space tucked away in rooms at the back of the shop, which was where we ended up sitting. The service was immediately friendly and efficient. We shared a plowman's plate between two: the tomato relish was sweet, and the was a great tomato and artichoke pickle, local beef pastrami, ham and salami, with a signature cheddar cheese and toasted sour dough bread. Lervely. Kids had egg and bacon rolls, which disappeared quickly. The baby had toast and local jam. For dessert, there was sticky date muffin with toffee sauce and cream, orange and poppyseed cake, chocolate florentine and a gingerbread man. All bloody good, and very reasonably priced - we got away with the lot for about $70 with soft drinks. After the meal one of the staff members spent some time with a map pointing out other places of interest. Overall, very impressive. It is places like Blessed Cheese that really become focal points for produce areas like the McLaren Vale.

“Wonderful friendly cafe with good coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

The staff at this cafe were so friendly, making us feel like locals from the second visit. The coffee here was consistently good (and being from Melbourne we are picky about our coffee) and there was nice food on offer too. In particular the breakfasts were delicious. I combined two menu items to have the corn fritters and smoked salmon with an avocado salsa. The staff and kitchen were most obliging and the dish was delicious!
