Ekhidna was a breathe of fresh air; as we experienced a cellar door/ restaurant who ticked all the boxes for us. We were greeted and treated with friendly service till the time we left. the unique beers, especially the alcholic ginger beer ;were an experience on there own. The wines were extremely good, you could tell that they were made by someone who new their craft. My favourites were the linchpin shiraz and the grenache; my wife loved the sauv blanc and the first flight riesling.
Then time to eat! with a great view looking out to the vines. We decided to order three entrees to share prawns; thai chicken balls and the calmari. (yum) for main course we shared the slow cooked pork belly and a medium beef tenderloin both meals were to die for! As our mains were meat we polished of a bottle of linchpin shiraz. WOW!
the only regret was we didn't leave room for desert. Great value for money! we shall return!
