I visited The Landing last Friday evening for dinner. I was presented the new seasonal menu and found it difficult to choose my meal as there were three options that immediately came to the top of my list. I decided upon the Nicoise salad with Smoked Trout from the starters - I ordered it as a main. My friend ordered the Pickled Squid salad as a starter (of which I tried some!). These were both beautifully fresh, light and tasty meals. My friend ordered the Mulloway and was very impressed with the freshness, taste and presentation. I indulged in dessert and ordered the Choc Mint Mayhem. It was absolutely magnificent - although a little on the large size for me! Not to worry as my friend polished it off together with his Affogato. I have not seen an Affogato as elegant as was served. Not my cup of tea (or coffeee!) but my friend enjoyed it. A lovely meal whilst watching the yachts sail in the river. A magnificent sunset capped off the meal too. Very busy restaurant but efficient service and great food. Glad I booked.
