“Nice place, friendly people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

Good food. I had ravioli boscaiola whilst my boyfriend had the special of the night, surf and turf. Tiramisú to finish, it had a taste quite close to the Italian one.
My boyfriend could have a rare beer, for Australia, a real kapuziner.
Service was great: food served by Nick in person, the main chef and owner of the place. And after dinner Nick entartained us and all customers playing the accordion and gave us some instruments to play and have fun with him! We had such a good time!
We'll surely go back for pizza, as the pizzaiolo, Daniele, is Italian and makes pizza the Italian style!

“quirky but nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

We stopped here for an evening meal with Wait a while tours. The restaurnt's chef is Swiss-Italian and the decor reflects his swiss origins with more cowbells than I have seen in Switzerland. The waitress was very attentive and cheerful. The fish was perfectly cooked and the chips fresh and chunky. My husband said the meat was very tender on the ribs and he really enjoyed them. Worth a stop if you are in the area and you may also see the wild platypus that lives in the adjacent creek.

“Highlight of our Tableland trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

We dine out a fair bit. Driving over the lovely Tablelands it got late and we grew hungry.
Found a great welcome and a nice table. Very nice decoration. Enjoyed great food and Nick put on a bit of a show. Want to go back again and again just wonderful.

“Great dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

My partner and I dined at Nick's restaurant in January 2013. We booked on a Tuesday night as they are not open on a Monday. We were immediately greeted by a lovely waitress and the decor felt very homely. We obtained the menu's and were delighted by the menu of German beers. For main we ordered bratwurst sausage and potato rosti and veal slices with rosti - beautiful traditional meal. We then shared the mousse chocolate cake for dessert. We would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

We stopped here for a late lunch and had hamburgers. The woman who served us wasn't very pleasant at first and eventually warmed up to us. The hambuger was really good. (Yes, you can mess up a hamburger) I liked sitting on the verranda.
