My husband and I spent two nights at Mount Quincan and it was just amazing. From the minute I walked into our treehouse, I started to relax. Kerry and Barb were amazing hosts and Barbs muffins are delish. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend away.

First thing first... Two days at the Mt Quincan Crater Retreat are simply not enough!
We were greeted by Barb at Reception & welcomed with a beautiful basket of freshly made muffins & escorted to our cabin where Bard gave us the tour; I hope Barb didn't think that our blank stares were rude but we were simply stunned by the incredible views & the amazing cabin.
The "little things" that Barb & Kerry put so much effort into simply make an amazing place to stay even more so.
We will be back... Soon! :)

We had a fantasic time The hosts Kerry and Barb realy know the meaning of quality 5 star service . Their local knowledge and passion for the region is evident on arrival. Barbs' scones and home baked bread are to die for as with Kerrys'selection of local sorced meats for breakfast. The morning sunrise is well worth getting up for even have a spa on the veranda while watching first light.
We highly recomend bbq on the deck and go to the local butcher for quality local produce or try one or the local pubs for dinner. We dinned at Nics resturaunt only to be very disappointed with the service.
A fantastic region of queensland to visit and Mt Quincan Retreat is truly amaizing in so many ways with hosts that provide an exceptional experiance. We look forward returning soon or even going to their other properties with our extended family.

Can not put it in to words how relaxing and amazing this place is.
The service Kerry and Barb provide is the best and nothing is a bother.
The room is very comfortable and the views are amazing.
Would highly recommend it for a trip away when you want to spoil your partner or just need a break away from the very day.
Thanks Kerry and Barb we will definitely be back
Almost forgot the massage you organised for us was spectacular

I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights away at this Treetop Heaven with my partner. Driving up to the crater on the very first evening was amazing, I knew there would be nice isolation from my hectic life just from the long road in. I thought everything was well signed for us and Sandra and Simon we're more than lovely when they checked us in.
I was stoked with the room. Simon gave us a small tour and left us to our crazy days ahead. It was completely romantic - fluffy towels and bath robes (that smelt sooooo amazing, it was like cuddling teddy bears!), down to the heart chocolates and rose petals on the doorstep. And the view from our cabin, i could have sat on the deck for a whole day and not be bored. We were lucky enough to watch a thunderstorm pass overhead (no rain) and cross in the distance, and even better, I woke up in time to see the sunrise from behind Mount Bartle Frere. It was beautiful.
What is also great about this place was that we were left alone! I enjoyed the piece and quiet, the insects buzzing and the cows mooing. It was nature at it's best. It was like being outdoors without being outdoors with the nice, open plan of the treehouse.
And there were many things to do nearby - Coffee Works and their coffee/chocolate tour; Gallo Dairyland and their lunches, cheese and chocolate samples; Lake Eacham to go swimming in; the Teahouse at Lake Barrine; Curtain Fig Tree - soooo many things to do and enjoy a relaxing weekend away.
The welcome basket was a nice touch and the fireplace would have been worth it should I have been there in the cooler months to use it. The breakfast that was left for us to cook was nice enough for the two days there. They were equipped with a tv, dvd and cd player if watching movies and listening to music was your thing - the main office had a pretty good collection of movies!

It was a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle and spend time with my partner in peace and quiet. Highly recommend for any romantic weekend or just a quiet getaway!

What an amazing place to stay.
We were greeted by Sandra as if we were long lost friends at the most incredible reception I have ever seen - high on the hill with views on all sides.
Within minutes of our reaching our cabin, the gardener/manager, Simon, had discovered two tree kangaroos in a tree a hundred metres from our door. The next morning we woke to brolgas dancing on the plain below our balcony, and the ever present scrub turkey and friend at the door.
The cabin was big and breezy with a splendid outdoor shower in the treetops. All the little extras just added to the pleasure of the stay - muffins, cream and jam on arrival, three breakfasts that nobody could possibly complain about - eggs and bacon, eggs, sausages and rissoles, eggs, steak, mushrooms and tomatoes + fresh fruit, toast and jam, yoghurt, a number of cereals and real coffee, etc. In the room was a decanter of port and a number of chocolates.
Two small and one large torch and a pair of field glasses + books and pamphlets on local animal and bird life, geology, vegetation and activities were part of the cabins contents. You want to watch a video, play a game or put on some music? A quick trip to the reception and these were available.
Anything else needed , speak to Simon or Sandra, or to the owners Barb and Kerry. All were delightful people and ready to chat or give advice.
One of the great escapes! Well worth a return visit.

My husband and I went to Mt Quincan Retreat for our honeymoon last month!
what a treat! Quincan was so peaceful and romantic, Kerry and Barb were so friendly and welcoming and go to so much trouble.
there was so much attention to detail-from the chocolates and port, rose petals scattered down to our treehouse to the gorgeous food hapmer, snuggly bathrobes, wood fire and huge spa hidden in the trees..
we loved everything about it. It was the perfect stay for anyone wanting to have a break from reality and get in touch with nature with their partner.
Northern Queensland is certainly a place for people who enjoy wildlife and the outdoors. We had a little possum come up to our window and were greeted by the brush turkey everyday, watch out for the cane toads outside at night time though
they can be pretty scary! but dont let that put you off! its all fun and if your lucky you can spot a tree kangaroo..which we did on the last day. the local town Yungaburra (a couple of mins down the rd) is really quaint, has some nice little restaurants which we tried out.
-go to Eden Retreat spa, they have a gorgeous restaurant, really great food!

Quincan is the best! Gorgeous views, great service, comfort, seclusion, romance and serenity in the tree tops.
