“Amazing”

Amazing. To take farming land and to turn it back into a tropical paradise. We will certainly be going back in a couple of years time to see the progress. Need to visit - take a picnic and allow half a day to absorb it all.

“Inspiring project well underway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Work is still progressing on the new gardens but there is plenty to still appreciate in this mammoth undertaking of making a new garden space accessible to others. A pleasant way to spend a couple of hours wandering the paths and having a coffee.

Ask any gardner and they will tell you 'a garden is never finished'. The first stage of our gardens is completed but with stage two in progress you will be able to look forward to a walk-in bird aviary, a children's petting zoo in the near future. It is certainly a great credit to the garden owner to have made his stunning property available for the public to enjoy.

“Great Relaxing Drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We were staying at the Novetel Sunshine Coast and on Sunday morning decided to take my wife and mum for a drive around the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands. Our drive commenced from the Novetel and when thru Bili Bili, Nambour and then up to Monteville. On the way to Monteville we came across a great lookout which had great veiws of the coastline.
We stopped at Monteville and had a look at the many little variety shops and also the small coffee and cake shops. They also have some lovely gardens and also a very old water wheel in the heart of the main street.
We then travelled from Monteville thru to Malany and had a pleasant walk around this quiet and peaceful town. There is also a lot of small boutique shops to browes thru and food outlets. There is also a very delicious home made lollie shop. You return via Landsborough and the Sunshine motorway back to the Novetel Resort.
The whole trip takes about 4 hours and is a great way to spend a peaceful Sunday morning.

“A must for any visitor to Queensland - the detour will be worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

It is hard to capture the beauty or the magic of this place with photos or with words - you really need to see it for yourself. It is situated a little outside of Maleny but if you ask for directions at the Maleny tourist office they will be more than happy to assist. These botanic gardens make for a special morning or afternoon wandering amongst the terraces and the waterfalls and the gardens, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the Glasshouse Mountains. The Devonshire Cream teas served in the pagoda are exceptionally delicious. It is already possible to while away several hours in this wonderful landscape; when you then consider that these botanic gardens are only Phase I of a much bigger project, the mind boggles to imagine what the whole place will look like once completed. We had the good fortune and the privelege to meet with the owner/creator of these gardens, who shared with us his vision. There can be no doubt that this will be one of if not the top Queensland attraction within 12 months or so. We spent a week in Queensland and it is without doubt the best day we had during our holiday.

“Beautiful gardens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

This botanical garden has the most wonderful setting and lovely views. It is privately owned so the cost of $11 I feel is a bit much. The gardens are lovely and deserved to be viewed but the cost will put a few people off.

"The best $11 I've ever spent. What splendid vision and such a gift to this part of the world" is a comment from our visitor book the day after your review. We are sorry you did not perceive the gardens this way. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it appears, so is the concept of value for money. Thank you for the time taken to review our gardens.
