Booked exhausted had to spray the room for spiders and mosquitoes before anything else. Dirty and dustiest room I have ever stayed in. Water damaged walls, uncomfortable bed. Second hand door on bathroom, holes for old doorhandles still open in door. Stains every where. They were not serving Breakfast (Sun morning 1/12/12) Was going to ask for a discounted rate due to the disgusting conditions but from 8.50am to 9.30am no won was at the office or answering the after hours bell. No surprise there. I don't know if there are better rooms, but if there are, I didn't see them.

Room Tip: Avoidat all cost!

This place really needs an upgrade. It is old and worn, but usually that doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that it is just not a clean place. Bedsheets had lots of stains and even the outside table had old stains, nobody every cared about that at all. Floor is old and filthy and even the tables in the restaurant had crumbs of breakfast still there at night. The food was decent though and people, although not very friendly like was used elsewhere, not unfriendly either. It won't be my choice next time in Longreach. And prices, like in much of the outback, don't reflect the quality at all. I paid 50% less in places where things were immaculately clean.
One thing which suprised us in a good way, were the kangaroos relaxing at the grass in front of our room. We were lucky to be in time and having the right room though.

Room Tip: Try and ask for one of the rooms facing the grass where there are grey kangaroos on a regular basis.

I stayed here for one night but it was a little expensive for what you get. I would stay again but would definitely look elsewhere first. Rooms were comfortable but nothing special. There was a decent breakfast in the morning but was not cheap at all.

Dated room, leaky toilet, dripping shower, mouldy bathroom, heater broken, and pillows flat and uncomfortable!! Most professional part of this motel is the website, presents so much better than in reality!!!

Reception staff were great. Very friendly. We didn't expect much from the room and weren't disappointed.
Walking distance from the Qantas museum and Stockmans hall of fame. Main street of the town is a bit of a walk.
Could hear the people in the next room snoring. If all you need is a place to sleep then this is for you.
If I'm ever in Longreach again I would stay here but hopefully they've spent a few bob on the rooms.
