“Lovely!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

We did the sunsest cruise for our wedding anniversary and it was really lovely. Staff are very friendly and the boat is beautiful. We were served some bikkies and dip and a free glass of sparkling wine on arrival and drinks are available for purchase. My husband was able to help hoist the sails which was a bit of fun. It was something fun and different to do for our anniversay we absolutely loved it!

“Great under sail”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2012

Went on the lunch cruise with three friends. Very friendly, competent and fun crew. Went around to Radical Bay with sails up but with motor operating. However, we came back under sail for a good part of the way, which was the real highlight of the trip.

The snorkelling at Radical Bay is really very poor, with no discernible live coral and an array of non too colourful fish. The equipment was fine but instructions could have been more detailed.

The lunch, quiche and salad, was adequate. Some alcohol was available at reasonable prices.

Overall, this excursion is significantly overpriced for what it is at $110, when compared with trips to the Outer Reef off Cairns, say, which cost very little more.

“Perfect Day Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

My Husband and I did the lunch cruise offered by Providence Sailing. We were lucky that the weather was calm and we had smooth seas. The boat ride was a pleasure with the sails up for visual effect and the motor taking us around Magnetic Island. The crew of three young men were very friendly, chatty and helpful. My stomach started to do a few flip flops 2 hrs into the sail but crewman quickly offered me the acupressure bands for my wrists which worked a treat. The whole day was very easy going, relaxed and cheerful. We stopped at a bay for snorkelling and was given all the gear we needed including stinger suits (just in case). The snorkelling was good enough, not real colourful or abundant with fish. I did see some lovely coral formations and some pretty fish but not as much as I anticipated. We were encouraged to snorkel as long as we liked. Once back on the sail boat lunch was served. A very nice serving of fresh salad and quiche. A return ride back to port topped off a perfect day out.

“Beautiful tallship”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2011

Went on the afternoon 2 1/2 hr cruise, probably not the best value for money
Friendly staff, ship well maintained but used the motor the whole way due to time restriction which is a shame, would have enjoyed even just 10mns sailing with motor off!
had opportunity to help putting sails up which was nice and the choice of snorkeling or staying on the beach
