I stayed here with my elderly mum and dad on July 9th, visiting from the UK.
Originally chose the motel because it was the only one in Cooktown with a disabled bedroom for my parents but so glad we stayed. Mick and Lee provided a charming Aussie welcome. Rooms are clean and tidy with iced water in the fridge and a fresh carton of milk a nice touch. A quick swim in the motel's pool was followed with a great dinner of locally caught Spanish mackerel.
We would have happily stayed a second night but sadly the disabled bedroom was booked.
The passion fruit jam at breakfast was a nice treat and fresh fruit salad as well.
All in all a good offering for a motel.
