“Relaxing paddle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

A calm relaxed way to see cap trib beach and some of the bird life on the rocks around. Good equipment, the guide provided enough instruction on paddling without patronising, and clearly loves his job and it's setting.

“Great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

We did the sunset paddle in a two person kayak. The instructor/guide gave really good instructions and shared a lot of his knowledge about the surrounding environment and fauna which was very interesting. The views as the sun set over the mountains were amazing, and the sea was very warm and calm. Unfortunately, I did not actually see any fish or animals, but other people saw turtles and fish. Apparently it is common for sting rays and sharks to be seen, and a dugong had been spotted a few times.

“Super fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

We did the sunset paddle as I was afraid that 3.5 hrs would be too long for us but almost regret it! We were with Dwight and had an incredible time. The kayaks are easy to use, our 12 and 15 yr old sons took the single kayaks and had a blast. Our 8 yr old was given a paddle and sat in the front of our big double kayak and we just flew through the water. We really really had a great time and i firmly recommend it!

“A great way to start the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

You can stand in two national parks here, Dwight told us: the rainforest and the reef. It is a magical place to be and you can be very confident that Dwight will look after you. We were lucky to see turtles on the reef and enjoyed a paddle in the mangroves. Sitting in a kayak is the best way to see the stunning scenery. After the trip you can get an excellent lunch at Cape Tribulation beach house.

“Awesome, best trip ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

"Awesome, best trip ever" was what my husband said after we had been dropped back off at our hotel after a morning kayaking with Pete (I should add that my husband is from Yorkshire, so he is not often this effusive!)
It was a really fun 3 hours, from first getting out through the waves (and the shock of the cold water), to learning how to surf the waves back towards the beach and then attempting to paddle around the headland.
We were given lifejackets and the choice of single or double kayaks, and Pete made sure through the whole trip that we were comfortable with what we were doing. He also had a tow rope on his kayak, so if you were struggling he would give you a tow (although we didn't need one!!)
We had a break halfway through, at which point Pete produced some much-needed homemade chocolate cake, which was really appreciated.
We finished back at our starting point with a bit more kayak-surfing, and for the first time fell out of our kayak - a fun finish to a great trip, thanks Pete!
