“Enjoyable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014 via mobile

Service was average nothing special that stood out. About would you would expect from a pub meal. The food was a good position size and fresh. There was not a long wait from ordering the meal and reaching the table. The salad that accompanied the order was lovely and consisted of more than just lettuce.

“Well priced and tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

We chose this hotel for dinner, and were not disappointed. it was very quiet considering it was a Saturday night, but the staff were very welcoming and friendly while we were there. Food was most acceptable, although my first choice of crumbed veal they could not provide as they had run out. Meals were well priced for what we received.

“Family based service, ticks every box!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

With $10 lunch specials Tuesday til Sunday, and with a standard Queensland pub menu, we didn't go in with the highest of expectations. We were blown away by the quality and pricing of the food. I opted for the beer battered fish served with crispy and perfectly seasoned chips and a stock standard salad, whilst my partner had the crumbed steak with amazing proper pepper corn sauce, none of this creamy stuff, proper pepper gravy!
The staff are very friendly, and always had a smile on their face, the pub itself is recently renovated and very well kept, with three outside eating/smoking areas and plenty of tables and shade to relax.
There is also weekly drink specials, and we jumped at the $4 grolsch stubbies.
Without a doubt my favourite pub in Bowen!!

“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

The night we were there they seemed to be not expecting the crowd they got. The special of the night was T-bone steak and those at our table of 12 who ordered the steak were not disappointed. The hotel had a good menu for pub food but thy ran out of half the food on it.
The staff tried really hard to keep up with the crowd and they did a pretty good job considering.
