Description: A modern European restaurant and bar with a German influence. Come and see us for great food, German beer on tap, relax by the fireplace or enjoy the beer garden. We also feature a great wine and cocktail list, along with a unique, German beer on tap: Radeberger. You won’t find it anywhere else in Australia on tap. Additionally, look for our selection of German schnapps, making Wunderbar one of the very few places in the region to offer this classic European specialty. Come for a finely crafted cocktail and stay for a hearty sampling of Wunderbar’s specialty foods.

“Food and service both wonderful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

Our food was lovely and hearty- which was just what we needed. Service was great- friendly, polite but unobtrusive. Enjoyed our ciders too. Really couldn't fault it. Highly recommended

“Little gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012 via mobile

For so long semi avoided this place due to the German stereotype but boy was I wrong.. So much more then what I anticipated! Went with couple of girlfriends for dinner and with entree, main and dessert 45 each! The fried flat bread was quite original and simply delicious at the same time.. Main I had rockling in which the serve was too much for my own good.. But did not stop me from ordering strudel for dessert! To top it off 2 hour game of UNO entertained us until close. Service was impeccable as was good and entertainment never before seen!

“A little German suprise.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2012

Located in the main street in Baha's old premises, this place served up some gems. They have a couple of good German beers by the bottle and one on tap I think. The food was good (mind you I don't think Germany will ever win any awards for excellent cuisine) the beer was cold and the service attentive. Outdoor area out the back to smoke/relax.

“Great tasty German food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012 via mobile

Great to have something so different in rye.
The menu looks like a novel but is in fact quite small.
I found the menu a little hard to understand and was not exactly sure what my order was going to be when it came out.

But when the food came out it was delicious, although probably not the most healthiest of menus but the food is spectacular.
They have great Imported beer on tap.
The small menu/entree menu has a whole lot of things i would like to try and make it a great spot to stop in for a snack and a few beers.
Then entree/small menu would be great for a drop in snack and a few beers which I think we will do soon.
I as surprised it is not more popul

“Different for Rye”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

No beach-side nautical atmosphere here. Old worn dark furniture with poor lighting . Average food. Might appeal to an older customer. If you are tired of the various coffee shops or trendy restaurants in Rye it might suit.
