“A real gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Just had a 2 night stay at The Dudley in Hepburn springs? Could not fault it. The most hosts Paul and Cate are so hospitable we felt like guests in their home. Nothing was too much trouble. The beds were very comfortable, rooms lovely, and special little touches like Molten Brown products, fluffy towels and robes. Relaxing sitting rooms to while away the hours and plenty of magazines to browse through. Cate's cooking was fabulous, the BEST scones ever!! Champagne, chocolates what more could you want.

We only stayed for one night but very much we'd checked in for longer!! Paul and Cate were the perfect hosts and could not do more to help. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, and the lounge room was the perfect place to relax with a coffee after a trip to the Hepburn Springs Bathhouse.
Breakfast was presented beautifully and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Much to our delight, due to a couple having a lie in on Saturday morning, Cate had used the spare time to bake some AMAZING caramel slices! Her baking skills are something to behold, thank you Cate!
All in all, this is a fantastic boutique hotel to stay in if you are travelling to Hepburn Springs or Daylesford. We would highly recommend it to anyone, but make sure you check in for longer than one night, just to make the most of the fantastic experience! Thank you both for making our weekend away very special.

We came to Daylesford for a mini getaway.. We chose the Dudley.. From the minute we walked in we were treated with above and beyond hospitality.. Paul and Kate were amazing.. The fine details like chocolates on the bed and champagne on arrival were much appreciated.. Kate's breakfast menu was exceptional.. Paul very helpful in suggesting places to eat.. Had a wonderful relaxing stay.. Thanks Kate and Paul

If anyone had told me that to walk down the pathway of The Dudley Boutique Hotel would be like having the most stunning parts of heaven here on earth, I would have thought, it is too good to be true. Well this time I can honestly say that everything that you read about this most gorgeous Bed and Breakfast will surpass all your expectations and some.
From the onset to be greeted by the most beautiful couple I have ever had the pleasure of meeting Cate and Paul, the delightful new owners of this stunning place. The moment we walked into this home and I do call it home it was like we were part of this incredible experience of having re-connected with two long lost friends, from that moment onwards their soul purpose was to make sure we were all treated like Princesses, which we were, nothing was too much trouble for either of them.
Our rooms were beautiful and clean, in actual fact every room was immaculate. The thing that stands out mostly for me was the breakfasts, from walking into the dining room to the gorgeous table setting, I felt that I was in a period movie, being served so many delicious options that in the end my will was weak and my desire demanded that I eat all that was before me. Cate's breakfast menu surpassed many of the grand hotel breakfasts that I have previously experienced, both in elegance and deliciousness.
The lounge rooms were for all to be shared with open fireplaces and afternoon treats, as well as  teas, coffees, beverages and mouth watering finger foods, it made for such wonderful gatherings.

If you are wanting to have a truly divine experience and tantalize all your senses, be it romantically or simply a getaway, you will without a doubt appreciate the enchantment that is The Dudley.

Cate and Paul you are both such beautiful people and I felt so humbled by your openness, humility and graciousness, you treated me, my siStar and coStar like precious jewels and that has made our experience with you so incredibly memorable.  Thank you!

New Owners Paul & Cate did everything possible to make us feel at home. You won't believe how delightful and enthusiastic this couple are to please and make certain your stay is a wonderful experience. We were spoilt by their incredible ability to meet every desire. Cate prepares a fantastic breakfast and is happy to accommodate if you just feel like staying in and relaxing by the fire. We are already trying to find a time to go back for more!! A must go!!

Room Tip: Room 1 & 4 were fantastic

For those of you who want an amazing experience with truly incredible hosts, you cannot go past Dudley House where the new hosts Cate and Paul will provide you with everything anyone could possible expect from a professionally run B&B. From the cleanest accommodation, to sumptuous breakfasts, finger foods and sweets cooked by Cate and the fabulous attention provided by Paul, you will never want to leave. I have stayed in many of the B&Bs and hotels in the area with my husband but have found Dudley House to be the best! This was a girls long weekend away which was a lot of fun but if you want an intimate experience and know you are going to receive exceptional treatment you will find it at this gorgeous home. Cate and Paul are a class act!

We arrived to find a beautiful old home. Our Host Bruce was waiting for us and showed us around. The room was lovely overlooking the garden but the bed was a bit soft for me and was only a double not a queen. As we didn't have a TV in our room we used the lounge across the hallway to relax. The breakfast was OK - just a standard continental. Bruce was full of information about the area and where to eat and we took his advice and were not disappointed at all.
A good experience all round
