Description: Authentic independent Italian restaurant serving great value freshly prepared food. Sapori opened in late 2012 and is growing fast in popularity as one of the finest Italian eateries in Sussex. Serving authentic dishes, from classics like Bolognese and Carbonara pasta to rustic stews such as Spezzatino, or our Sicilian fish stew. Our meats, fish and poultry are all supplied by local farmers and fishermen. We have a wide selection of fish, with lobster and crab also available on request. Everything is prepared and cooked fresh on the premises, including our classic Italian pizzas which are made with our own dough and tomato sauce recipe and we also serve traditional Italian ice cream and homemade desserts

“ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.............”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

We visited Angelica`s with friends on sat 25.08.12 ,we were greeted by a friendly waiter and quickly seated at our table.....so far so good.
We all had mussels as a starter ,it was a nice size portion but all 4 dishes were not very hot, they was not cold but needed to be hotter, also nothing to go with it (a nice piece of crusty bread would have been nice)
The 4 mains were mushroom risotto, seafood risotto, spag bol,and a lasagne which were ok,the 4 desserts were also ok.
There was only one waitress to help the waiter we felt he could of done with some help.
The restaurant was a bit clutterd at the bar end, also no light in the gents toilet there were 4 camping lights hanging from the ceiling.
So to sum up the evening we had 3 bottles of wine ,3 courses each,no coffee`s or after dinner drinks, the total cost was £120.00 and no service charge was added.
Would we go back?.......not sure..........there is room for improvement.

“A lovely restaurant with a few teething issues”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

A lovely welcome upon arrival. The menu has a good choice and the dishes are reasonably priced, surprised it didn't have garlic mushrooms though. The bread served with the olives really needed some dipping oil/balsamic as it was rather bland on its own and they could do with buying some nicer olives. Some of the diners were automatically given glasses on water on arrival others were not, so assume this was just teething issues as they hadn't been open for long. Its the little things people notice and like. The food itself was nicely cooked and the homemade tiramisu is a must. We will definitely give this restaurant another go to see if things have improved

“Shows Promise”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

We went here at the beginning of July, I think it was the first weekend that it opened. With that in mind we were a bit surprised at the number of items missing from the menu. First they had no Calamari, then no Tiramisu and then no Lemoncello.

It's a nice restaurant and it's about time EG had a decent Italian again but I do worry about it's location. The food that did come out was ok although the veg tasted tinned but we were assured they weren't. The owner is very friendly and chatty and we wish him the best of success but it is quite pricey.

We will go back as we are sure that this will improve, if it doesn't then it won't last long in EG.
