“A wonderful and memorable weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Our son and daughter in law recently had their wedding reception at the Castle Inn and what a wonderful choice of location and venue. Several of us had a two night stay and we couldn’t fault the service provided. Steve and Mae gave us a wonderful welcome and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. All the bedrooms were different and maybe some were in need of a little upgrading but they were full of character, very clean and comfortable. The bar food and breakfast were excellent in choice, quality, quantity and value for money and the wedding buffet was absolutely first class. - well done Chef and a big thank you to all the staff for making the occasion so enjoyable and memorable.

We came on the sunday night special, it was excellent value for money the food was really good (again). Our room was nice and big quite basic but fine for the money, the only down point really was that we could'nt turn our heating down and spent the night too hot to get a good sleep. The plumber was there in the morning though so this has probably be sorted out by now. The breakfast was lovely and really filling. We would definately stay here again : )

Spent just a night at this hotel and could not fault it. The food was amazing and plenty of it from dinner to breakfast. Location very central for touring. Friendly place with nice atmosphere. Would certainly return.

Room Tip: Room 7 was perfect for us.

This was a good choice of accommodation for walking the South Downs Way. Bramber, Upper Beeding, and especially Steyning are charming villages to visit, and Castle Inn is central to these. Rooms are very pleasant and downstairs is the pub with very reasonable pub food - served in large portions. Breakfast was very good indeed. We thought this was very good value.

We received a warm welcome, the staff were all really friendly. The evening meals were excellant. The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day. The rooms were all different, clean and comfortable. There was storage for our bikes. The village of Bramber is very pretty, with Steyning an easy walk away, well worth a visit. We would definately stay at the castle hotel again, the landlords helpfullness went beyond the call of duty.

We stayed 2 nights bed and breakfast. As the first night was bank holiday we booked in for dinner as well. It was so good we ate there the second night too. Breakfast good too. Excellent food, pleasant room, good service and friendly faces.

The room was very clean and comfortable. This was a budget break well worth the charges.

Room Tip: we had a front room on the first floor. The floorboards creeked from upstairs, but then it is an ol...

we stayed here as we had stopped here over 10 years ago and enjoyed it.however this time round it was very different.i must say the staff were very friendly, apart from the bearded man who runs the bar at night, very rude, the breakfast was very nice, but the rooms are absolutely dire.they are filthy, damp and generally need gutting.i cannot understand why they have spent a fortune on plasma tvs in the bedrooms when a good cleaner is whats needed.we had a look in the best western up the road and that is where we will stay next time.

Room Tip: take cleaning products with you
