“Best service ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

My daughter and I treated my mother to a Spa Day and sleep over for her 70th birthday recently. We found the facilities good, were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and were extremely impressed by the excellent service. The rooms were big with large bathrooms, a little bland in decoration but clean and comfortable. We were blown away by the exceptional value of the package and how special we were made to feel.

I would recommend anyone who fancies a short mid-week break with friends or loved ones to book a £85.00 spa break.

Well done Whittlebury Hall, your staff are a credit to you,

on arrival we all received a warm welcome from beth at reception.most of us had our rooms ready by noon which was a bonus.all rooms were clean and tidy, after playing the blue and white course,we had time too use the pool, sauna, etc; which we all thought were top notch.again the staff in this area were polite and very helpful.after a pint or two in the bar we all went for dinner, our waiter for the evening was luke and we could not have wished for a nicer lad,the food itself could not be faulted, even by 19 hungry blokes, non of which had a single complaint.the next day was a replica, food, service, staff, all brilliant.we must also say a big thankyou to the night porter, who's name ive forgotten, but from the philippines as he kept us topped up after the shutters came down.all in all brill and we will be back. you should all be proud of yourselves on a fine establishment and a hard working set of staff.

Room Tip: all rooms are smart and clean, our room 308 was above some large fans, but they were not too noisy. if...

This weekend was my second stay at Whittlebury Hall in recent months. It is a beautiful spa hotel and the facilities are great as are the spa deals. We had the following as part of the package:
1) full use of the spa from 0900 on the sunday morning, great
2) lunch in the terrace café which was lovely
3) A mini treatment which was very relaxing
4) an evening meal (canteen style as described by others), my veg on both visits was harder than al dente but otherwise lovely
5) breakfast that finished at 0930 (seemed early to me on a spa relaxing break where I had for a change no children to wake me at the crack of dawn!) which was fine except for the most disgusting cup of tea (on my first visit) and coffee (on this visit) I have ever tasted. As a person addicted to tea and 42 years old I've had my fair share. I cant understand why a place so lovely and usually expensive can scrimp on tea and coffee. It came in a large pot carried around by the staff which was stewing and lukewarm. No individual pots of tea.
However it was as well that I didn't try to have an extra lie in as drilling in our side of the building started at 10am despite checkout being at 11am.

It was a very good deal at £100 per person and I don't want to sound petty but when you cant have an extra lie in or a decent cup of tea when you wake up it takes the shine off things.

We booked on to a weekend package for £119 which included one overnight stay, evening meal and breakfast with full use of heat and ice and spa facilities.
Checking in was easy an fast and our bags were trollied up to our rooms whilst we acquainted ourselves with the spa and dining areas. There is choice a plenty with foo to suit all budgets. You can take cream tea on the terrace , eat antipasti in the bar or eat in the cafe with its more cafe style surroundings, with added comfort of sofa seating. The facilities were clean, easy to understand the process of moving around with a wrist token, the spa was is no way claustrophobic and although there were quite a lot of people there, you didn't notice it was busy or have to queue for using saunas and the pools. The heat and ice experience is very good with a number of rooms to venture into that vary in temperature and purpose. We didn't have a treatment, just made the most of the heat and ice and pool.
Our evening meal was tasty but the dining room could be likened to a canteen. Maybe a little too large but the staff were good, service was at a decent pace and our food was hot and cooked perfectly. En masse eating means you order from a set menu, which can be problematic for some but you can pay to upgrade to a better dining experience where the restaurant actually looks like a restaurant, is less like school dining and the choices are such as any restaurant. You have a set time for a meal which you agree upon booking.
Breakfast the following morning was a buffet and it was outstanding. Continental, full English, however you take your breakfast will be catered for here. Go down for breakfast at your leisure and just give your room number and you will be seated and then can go and choose your food.
Accommodation was the standard rooms and was very good with clean, spacious bathrooms and two beds in a spacious room. There are fridges in the rooms- always helpful for chilling wine! It's also very quiet.
Some rooms , with a window open allow you to hear the sound of race cars at Silver stone , but they re not particularly loud or disturbing. All in all, I was very pleased with Whittlebury. So much that we are due back again next month! Highly recommended for a calm, relaxing break with good
food and super accommodation.Just take good
company and you have the perfect recipe for a spa weekend!

We went for a company event for families and almost took over the whole hotel. The food was spectacular, plenty of it but fabulous quality despite the numbers. We ate in a ballroom buffet-style for some meals, and in a marquee for others (hog roast one day, Sunday roast to die for). Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were also excellent although bedding was too hot (always is in hotels in summer as they use the same winter duvets!) The hotel is very long and stretched out so it's a mile walk whenever you need to go anywhere! Don't leave anything you need in your room as you'll be gone 20 minutes to fetch it. Spa is enormous: I couldn't even count the rooms which are on several levels, so if treatments are your thing it's certainly the place to go. Pool is a nice size family pool with separate jacuzzi. Grounds are lovely and there's a golf course surrounding the hotel. The main downside to the hotel is the constant drone of cars from Silverstone racetrack. I hate motor racing and the noise ruined the lovely countryside atmosphere. We ignored it as we were with great company, but I wouldn't recommend it for couples on a romantic weekend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the entrance and as far away from Silverstone as possible.

Booked this spa day/overnight stay for my mums 60th birthday surprise with my sisters.
We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the spa & heat/ice experience. Our room was very spacious & excellent facilities only thing was the view was not very impressive.
Our only grumble of the stay was when ordering afternoon tea & scones the tea arrived & drank & no sign of scones. After my sister spoke to staff member they arrived with twice amount of scones & large fresh pot of tea & the waiter couldn't apologies enough.
Spa staff were welcoming & friendly & it was lovely & clean throughout the day.
Thank you for a fab time & we will be coming again!
