Having recently stayed at Borrowby Mill in North Yorkshire for a a racing weekend I can only congratulate Mike and Amanda's charming hospitality , excellent breakfast's and wonderful rooms.My parents, myself and my husband could not have found a more tranquil oasis after a busy working week. There attention to detail, wonderful rapport with their guests and relaxing enviroment in a very pretty setting and village made for a lovely weekend.Mike and Amanda keep up the good work and we will definately be back.

We stayed in this delightful Mill in April of this year. At the time the owners had only been there for five weeks and yet the standard of the rooms and service was second to none. We had the Rievaulx room on our first visit and it is pure luxury. The attention to detail in the furnishings is quite lovely. This lovely bedroom and bathroom complex opens onto a landing which in turn leads into a sumptuous lounge and from there into a delightful garden area. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked with multiple choices. The owners Mike and Amanda are thoughtful and attentive, with their guests comfort foremost in their minds. Altogether a stay to remember and an hotel to recommend with complete confidence. We will be back to explore all the wonderful locations and scenery which surround this property, from country to coast, from stately homes to ruins, birdlife to wild flowers and stupendous views. My wife and I stayed overnight at The Mill, and wished we had time to have stayed for several nights. Amanda and Mike are fantastic hosts and everything about our stay from the warm welcome they gave, the most comfortable and well appointed bedroom and lovely drawing room to sit in with coffee following dinner, that I would consider fine dining at it's best served in a beautifully appointed dining room. Breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend The Mill to all.
