From the moment Kathryn opened the door as we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcomed into her home. There are only three guest bedrooms, so you certainly get the personal touch. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and well-appointed (with a tea tray that shames larger chain hotels) and most importantly a comfortable bed. The breakfast really is impressive and sets you up for the day. We appreciated the advice packs made-up, down to where to eat and drink in Thirsk, and there was no shortage of information on places to visit. Whilst "The Gallery" has no car park, there is a large, free public car park less than a minute's walk behind and the location is great for exploring Thirsk and the beautiful environs. We will certainly return in the future.
