Hosts wonderful. thoughtful additions to rooms, guides, restaurant info, fan, robes, cookies..... Beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Totally non smoking. The shower was very good by UK standards! good breakfasts, set you up for the day. guide books, picture books, Herriot books and newspapers always available. Also an extensive DVD library for those wet days.
Thirsk is small and this B&B is in the heart of it. It is an old yorkshire home, so expect odd stairs and low ceilings. 20 min walk from station, trains to York or London frequent. 2 min walk to buses. There is a pool and gym in Thirsk about 10 min walk from the Gallery.
