“Below average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Had the roast belly of pork and lamb shank. The pork was a large slab of dry meat. The lamb was succulent but would've benefited from being trimmed. The mash was also incredibly lumpy. Would not eat the food here again.

“Plentiful food anad helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

We called on a Sunday Lunchtime unaware that they only run a carvery lunch then. The staff kindly made us soup and sandwiches from the bar meal menu and they were delicious. The soups offered were unusual flavours but very tasty. God value meals.

“Very Popular”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

My first visit but obviously not for others. The pub was full from 6-10 mostly with diners, but also with people drinking at the bar. The menu was good and the food well cooked, the beer excellent though only 3 real ales on the night (Monday)

“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We were staying in the village for the well dressing weekend and picked this restaurant for its variety on the menu. It didn't disappoint - good food, nicely cooked and presented. Will definitely go there again when we next stay in Youlgreave.
