“Fantabulous B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

I cannot state highly enough what a fantastic B&B this is. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, the breakfast was fantastic, and it's in a fabulously scenic and quite location. On top of all this it was the little touches, over and above what you get in other accommodations, that really made the stay an enjoyable one; things like bottled water in the room, fragranced spray, enough comfy chairs for when you come back in the afternoon (quite rare I find), and home grown fruit for breakfast.

Di and John could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable, including printing detailed directions to our next destination.

And I'm afraid this next point won't be relevant to anyone staying now, but on arrival we were greeted not only by the hosts, but by two gorgeous 4-week old puppies, who my 11 year old girl was allowed to stroke. At that point we were smitten!!!

I would (and probably will) stay here again, and would recommend it without hesitation.

We stayed at Measham House for one night in May and had the most fabulous experience.

The house is just amazing, rooms beautiful and impeccably clean.

The hosts John and Di were the best I have ever encountered, they tend to your every need and cook one of the best breakfasts around.

We were also lucky enough to time our visit with the arrival of the new additions to the house, Buddy and Eddie, what a delicious treat!!

Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Caroline and Mat

Room Tip: All rooms fabulous with stunning views of the countryside

We stayed here for 2 nights and can say this us the best B&B we have stayed in. John and Di make sure you have everything you need, breakfast is fantastic and very yummy, the house is beautiful, the rooms are very clean. We stayed in the Staunton room the beds were huge and the bathroom was very clean. I would recommend to all my family and friends. We would definitely book to stay again :) thank you for a fantastic time.

This is a lovely B&B, don't miss it! John and Di are wonderful people and the rooms are beautiful, so is the view! And the breakfast with home made jams, fruit and sausages from their own pigs. It's a shame we only stayed here for one night but we hope to come back next year. Thank you so much for giving us the feeling that we were old friends!

Luxurious rooms and linens with the most comfortable king sized beds, incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, stunning rural views in all aspects, superb breakfast and banter... if only EVERY place offered a complimentary half bottle of sherry in their rooms!

Room Tip: We stayed with friends and took both rooms in the main house. Both were equally luxurious, comfortab...

Di and John are perfect hosts - excellence in all areas, caring, friendly, everything you could want. The rooms are luxurious and spacious, the food delicious, the welcome warm. This was my second visit - I treat myself to a night before and after breaks at Champneys Springs - and it is the perfect start and finish when my drive is a hundred miles. Yet at a really modest cost - home grown stewed fruits on offer for breakfast, nothing is too much trouble - you feel like a friend, not an item of commerce as you can in some unwelcoming places.

Room Tip: Those on the front of the house are quieter and have a better view, but all are as welcoming.

Stayed in the Staunton room for 3 nights before cutting my visit short because of snow. It was a treat to stay here, everything I would like at home was provided. The house is a lovely old listed Georgian farmhouse built around a courtyard (with plenty of parking). The room was spacious and well appointed with an en suite shower room, trolley with drinks making gear, etc; TV; wi fi service if you need it. Breakfast was fine, especially the home grown fruit. There was a kitchen for guests to use if not wanting to eat dinner out. John and Di were very helpful and accommodating.
Definitely be back here to stay later in the year to finish my truncated holiday.
