“A rare find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2006

We stayed 2 nights at Dannah. My husband and I stayed in the Ecclesbourne Suite and my other two guests stayed in a twin room near the breakfast room.
The stay was absolutely wonderful it was a real piece of English Countryside.
Our room was very spacious with a luxurious bathroom (double ended spa, huge shower sauna). Our guests stayed in a twin room (Premier Room) with a lovely large sitting room that gave us all plenty of space to visit. Even though there are several other rooms you do get a lot of your own privacy. Each room had a tv and a video/dvd player with titles you could choose to watch from their library in one of the sitting rooms.
The farm is beautiful with plenty of animals around the place. The location is great for seeing what Derbyshire has to offer. Breakfast was great make sure you order the mushrooms. The Hanging Gate pub down the road was a perfect place for dinner each night with nice friendly staff.

The only little moan i have is the water pressure is very low so it took half an hour each night to fill up the spa, but that is a very minor detail when you consider all the great things about the place.

Definately gets my thumbs up and if I'm ever in the area again I will certainly stay here.

This fantastic little B&B deserves all the awards it has achieved. Everything has been thought about and all your comforts are available. The welcome is very warm and the rooms extremely comfortable and well equipt. You are even invited to take the dogs for a walk - the pigs are a sight to behold!
The food is superb and as good as you would get anywhere.
We had a wonderful time here and would definately recommend it.

we have just come back from a wonderful weekend deep in derbyshire, the minute we set foot in dannah farm we felt pampered, the welcome was just what we needed after the drive though the lanes, the tea and homemade cakes/biscuits were a delight. We were then shown our room, well it was wonderful, the ecclesbourne suite was just what we needed, the double air bath, shower and sauna was well used, the giant bed was so comfy but a bit squeaky, but that didn't spoil a good nights sleep, we didn't want to get up, breakfast was very filling, in fact we didn't eat till dinner that night, the eggs were wonderful and tasty as was the homemade bread. Dinner was just as wonderful, in fact i don't think you would get any better in a top restuarant. We were sad to leave but we will be back very soon.

All the staff were very friendly and recommeded a lovely pub for dinner on sunday night, thank you so much martin and joan and all the hard working staff at dannah farm.

We first stayed at Dannah Farm seven years ago and it was so good then that we promised to return. We have just arrived home after a short weekend break and can thoroughly recommend Dannah Farm as a place to stay, for a short break or as a base to stay for a longer holiday exploring the lovely Derbyshire countryside.
Everything about Dannah Farm has been so well thought out from the beatifully decorated bedrooms to the oh so cozy dining room. This is a working farm and all the food is fresh and perfectly prepared. At dinner there is no choice - you get what you are given but you will not be disappointed. Breakfast is just perfect - everything freshly prepared to order including a variety of toasts made from different home made bread.
Dannah Farm is not a luxury hotel but it feels like one and we were very sorry to leave. We met some guests from upstate New York who had found Dannah farm on the net and were staying for 3 nights before travelling North. They also thought it was perfect and agreed that it set the standard
for small country house hotels - and all at a very reasonable rate. Highly recommended.
