We booked this weekend at Bargate Cottage to celebrate our wedding anniversary ,it is run by a lovely couple Les and Fionna. The cottage itself is 16th century so it oozes character and charm.Bargate Cottage is situated in an ideal location in Castleton, lots of places to eat and drink and at this time of year Castleton's streets are full of Christmas trees covered in twinkling lights.A sight worth seeing.Breakfast was amazing, fruit ,cereals and a full English followed by toast and conserves what a start to the day.Only one thing spoiled it ,on second day guest who sat next to me continually coughed over me and my breakfast so unable to eat it which was a shame, but that was nothing to do with Fionna and Les but it was quite off putting .
