“Pets made to feel welcome too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

On our last day in Castleton we thought we would have lunch at the Rose Cottage Cafe. After having checked out of the cottage we were renting, we had no choice but to bring our lovely labradoodle with us. After enquiring if dogs were accepted at the cafe, we were shown to a fabulous outdoor, but covered and heated area. Although the sun was shining, it was still very chilly outside. After our heater above our table was placed on, we were all very cosy and ordered our food and drinks.

Our dog was then given his own water bowl and a treat, which we thought was a lovely touch.

All of our food was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. This was a fantastic finish to our lovely weekend away in Castleton. On our way out to pay, we all could not resist a cake each, which were individually placed in a box with serviettes and knives and forks for our journey home. Wonderful.

“Delightfull”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

A truly delightful cafe. In a fantastic location and nicely decorated inside. Plenty of room between tables, which is something we always look for. Suffers from a lack of parking and its a little pricey, but on the whole it was a very enjoyable visit.

Classic tea room! Very good cakes and tea - a bit pricy but comfortable and attractive. Liked the ambience

“A lovely tea time treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Perfect little tea shop that welcomed us after a long walk with a large variety of tea time treats. The servers were lovely and our cream tea arrived very swiftly. The place was busy but with room between tables it didn't feel claustrophobic just cosy and jolly!
