“Perfect stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

What a lovely start to our holiday.
check in was very smooth and we was welcomed with a smile. We took advantage of a book early discount and did not use the parking.
Upon check in they informed us that we could have a transfere to the airport even though it was at 4am which i thought was a really lovely touch as i was prepared to walk.
our room was large and very modern it over looked the runway and had a lovely view as the sun started to set. The bed was king size very comfortable with lots of pillows.I found the room itself the right tempreture and very clean.
We ate in the bar and had 2 burgers , wine and a coke and that cost £23 which i thought was very reasonable. The portions were large.
The hotel room had no noise coming from other guests or the planes and there was a kettle to make tea and coffee that was provided. There was also water in the fridge.
the bathroom was modern and large with a powerful shower.
I would stay here again every time i fly from east midlands airport no matter what time i fly now.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night as it was close to a music festival we were attending and we'd had enough of camping!
We wanted comfort and we were not disappointed. We were in a business class room with a fantastic view of the runway, very nice at night.
It was immaculate and spacious with lots of power points for all your technology. Great wifi and digital tv. Even though I wasn't staying there for business on this occasion I would feel more than comfortable booking a stay here for that purpose.
The bed was fantastic, we just didn't want to get out of it!
The staff were very helpful, warm and friendly.
One of the things that impressed me most though was the hotels "super breakfast buffet", let me tell you it definitely lives up to the title! There was so much choice it was difficult to know where to begin and everything that we tried was delicious!
All in all we would definitely stay here again, well worth the money.

We booked this as a mystery hotel as part of a one night stay and park the car whilst we went on holiday.

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and within minutes we were in our room.

Our room was a standard double but was of an extremely high standard: The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. This was better than executive rooms I have stayed at elsewhere.

There is a gym and pool. The pool is small but adequate. The changing rooms are very small and cramped with no private changing cubicles, so people were using the toilets to change in.

Breakfast was wonderful: there was an abundance of choice and a server at an egg station so that eggs were freshly cooked according to your wishes.

The hotel minivan took us to the five minute journey to the airport. When we arrived back after our holiday, we just called the hotel from the direct line phone in the airport and a charming young man came and picked us up within minutes.

If this is the standard that Radisson provides at an airport hotel, we will definitely be looking at Radisson for future hotel stays.

Dear Spaldingtyner,
Thank you very much for your response about your recent stay with us.
Yes, unfortunately our changing rooms in our Health Club are very small; due to the layout we have no additional resources to extend the area.
I hope it didn’t spoil your experience and we can welcome you back again.

Kind regards

I stayed whilst on business in the Midlands, and had a good, quiet room overlooking the outside part of the bar. The room was comfortable and the bed excellent. had some issues with linking to the wi-fi from the ipad, but apart from that a good hotel. buffet breakfast in the morning was also of a good standard, only spoiled by a lack of staff to look after customers. sat with a dirty dish in front of me for the whole time and had to go and ask at the front of the resaurant to have a coffee, and this with only a handful of tables with people. did not use spa or bar.

Stayed overnight before flight to France. Quiet, clean, comfortable hotel which was great value for money! We were upgraded to an executive room overlooking the runway and had a very comfortable night. No airport noise at all! Didn't use the gym and spa or restaurant but rest of the hotel I could not fault. Staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Only issue we had was room was a bit too warm but we didn't make any comment, long drive from Scotland on a hot day so was to be expected.

Bonus of Nespresso machine in the room which was a great way to start the day with a decent cup of coffee. Pods were missing but housekeeping brought some to us within 5 minutes of a call to them.

Will definitely stay again, only drawback for us it's a long drive from Edinburgh to get a shorthaul flight to France but a good excuse to stay at Radisson again!

Highly recommend!

Dear KMD17Edinburgh,
I am glad to see you had a nice time during you recent stay. The electricity is operated by the key card therefore the air handling unit was not working until you entered your room. When you stay next time leave the key card in and you will see you have a nice cold or warm room depending on the season.
Please visit us again.

We stayed here the night before our holiday to turkey. We booked direct through the hotel and then opted for an upgrade on an email we got after we booked, for a senior suite, but you're not guaranteed to get it! It was £28 opposed to £58! We didn't think we would get it but when we arrived we did and it was amazing, it was massive with a tv at the bottom of the bed, walk in wardrobe separate toilet, a bath and a separate power shower! The pool was beautiful and relaxing, the bar was beautiful as well!!
Will be returning, thanks for a great start to the holiday!!

Room Tip: Upgrade to the senior suite, it was really worth it!!
