“What an amazing place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We spent the first night of our married life at Chevin Green B&B! We wanted a place that was special and would be a calm and beautiful place to begin married life in and we were not disappointed. The location is lovely, green rolling hills and very peaceful. The rooms are immaculately clean and the decor is lovely and has a subtle continuity with is both well-conceived and beautifully finished. The people are fab and very welcoming and extremely thoughtful, providing us with a bottle of bubbly and a card in our room, very sweet and very much appreciated. All in all a great stay and just what we were looking for. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We stayed here in early Apr whilst attending a wedding in Belper. The hosts are most welcoming; the rooms are clean, spacious and simply but well decorated and breakfast is lovely. Whilst it may not be in the centre of Belper (£5 taxi each way) and more expensive than some establishments in the centre of the town it is well worth paying the extra for the location etc (trust me I saw where my parents stayed).

The highest standards in every way. Everything about Chevin Green Farm thoroughly deserves its 5 stars, and in many ways it is a shame that it cannot be given more. Nothing is too much trouble for hosts David and Sarah, who are warm and welcoming and genuinely want to do everything to help youe to enjoy your stay. As or the accommodation, one just could not want for more. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. I was in Derbyshire to visit friends and found the B&B ideally situated to travel to Derby, Ashbourne and Baslow. I would urge you to book to stay there if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully decorated and have similar amenities. Peace and tranquility abounds regar...

I have been working in a local factory in Belper for a 3 month period and have stayed at Chevin Green throughout.
Have been thoroughly happy, have endured snow and difficult conditions, but the owner was always there to help overcome any difficulties.
After a hard day's work, it is a great place to come back to and relax in your room with peace.

I will be visiting again in May and June on a reduced frequency and it's good to know where I will be staying, no anxiety

Thank you Trip Adviser because we followed your recommendation and booked a weekend at Chevin Green to attend a Ruby Wedding celebration and meet up with friends. The place does not disappoint - every detail has been thought through (e.g.fresh milk in the fridge for tea) and the highest standards reached The accommodation is pristine, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was freshly prepared and locally sourced with the best fried egg ever.
The welcome was warm and friendly with nothing too much trouble.
Will definitely return

Well, what a wonderfully calming and peaceful break my partner and I enjoyed here. We were visiting Belper for a birthday party and rather than stay in the town (which is charming and full of pubs and shops) we decided on a whim to have a real break from the madding crowd and stay at Chevin Green farm (which is a nice walk away from Belper along footpaths through fields and along the river). We were greeted by Sarah and invited to take tea in the guest lounge (very welcome) while we were informed about the area and made decisions on what to have for breakfast the following morning. Our room was well equipped with tea making facilities, flat screen tv (which we never found a use for as by simply looking out of the window we were treated to a charming vista of hills and trees) and everything the modern traveller has come to expect but with a very personal touch. At the end of our stay we were made to feel as if we were the most important guests ever to have made this wonderful old stone farm our home. Thank you Sarah and David, I hope we can stay with you again when next we're in Belper.

My partner and myself were attending a local wedding reception at Blackbrook and decided on Chevin Green Farm as a place to rest our heads.
This isnt your run of the mill B&B, this inviting and uncannily restful (only sounds to be heard was the birdsong!) , with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and the last remnants of snow still hugging the hills, it was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of citylife.

The welcome by David was warm and very friendly and local info about the origins of this converted farm which incidentally has been in the same family for 84 years! Now thats continuity big time!
Accomodation was worthy of its nominated five star rating with myriad of modern touches but also keeping the charm of original oak beams and Derbyshire stone and appealing country furniture.
Breakfast was very filling and we were looking forward to the full english and didnt go dissapointed, oh, by the way, awesome filter coffee, the best ive tasted outside of New York (and they do the tastiest coffee ever, ha!)
Have a peek on the Facebook page and like them like i did!
