“Peacefull”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Its a really peaceful area to take in the views and almost on our doorstep. Not so easy to park on nice days but worth the effort.

“Lovely countryside / convenient access”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Lovely historic reservoir with great scenery and good for walks / picnics. Ample car parking. Visit the museum for additional information on how our forefathers built this amazing dam used by the famous Dambusters in the war.

“Beautiful area with so much to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

It is hard not to like Ladybower Reservoir and its surrounding area. The expanse of water is attractive enough but the proximity to other places like Win Hill, the Derwent River and Bamford makes it an ideal place for a stroll or a proper hike.

For a peaceful walk I'd suggest going along the dam wall and heading along the Thornhill path followed by the descent into Bamford.
