We have family local who visit this restaurant, so we were expecting a pleasant visit. It was warm and welcoming on a freezing february evening. Busy with lots of locals, especially as it was a monday evening. We were quickly shown to our table. Good atmosphere, plenty on the menu to choose from. Our main course was both chicken with sauces, veg and chips or wedges. For afters, a good reasonably priced choice.
I particularly enjoyed the Marstons Pedigree on draught and the complimentary large bottle of Hardy's wine (with food over £15).
The venue is next to a Travelodge, but they don't open for breakfast. Other options available, see my Travelodge review.
Obviously not fine dining, but very good for what it is. I would be happy to return there in the future.
