Took the family for supper while on a visit to Ilam hall. Staff were very friendly and service was efficient but it did not really make up for the dated decor and bland food. The salt and chili squid tasted like it had been twice fried from frozen and had very little spice, The beef dish was grey in colour, lacked flavour and again was spice free. The sizzling prawns were OK and the only dish we ate for taste, the rest we ate because we were hungry after a day's walking and did not want to make a fuss.
This restaurant would struggle if there was any competition in town as the food is too bland and the place looks like it was last decorated in the 80's.
The bill when it came would have been cheap if the food was good.
