We've been a few times over the past 5 years and the new renovations and changes to the museum have really opened the site up and allowed us to see much more of the mill than previously, so great! The new kids trail was fun and kept them occupied. The guided tour was interesting but I felt there was far too many of us on it - 26 peole crammed into the small space was far too many. It seems to have a lot of new staff this year. On our last trip 2 years ago 2011, and before, the girls ran the tours and they were small groups - think about 10. It was easy to hear what was being said and allowed plenty of times for questions. A guy called Micheal gave our tour and although it was good, it was far longer than the 45 minutes we were told, and the kids started to get bored which stressed us out. If a tour says 45 minutes it should be 45 minutes, but this was well over an hour. Seemed to be a bit disorganised with people all over the place. Would recommend it on a rainy day.
