“Very lovely dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

I have also read some of the negative reviews posted, which I find confusing.

I found the menu varied, and appealing, I found the staff friendly and helpful, I loved the interior decoration, and our food was very very good.

We will definitely be returning

“Oh Dear”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

I tried the restaurant again. It was very poor with one exception - very greasy fish (one diner's fish over-cooked and another's under-cooked) and under-cooked chips. The one exception was the pudding which was excellent but I suspect largely bought in. I don't know what has happened. Has the chef who re-launched the place left? In any event I wont be back. I am sad because my first meals here were so good.

“Declining Standards”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

I had previously given this restaurant a warm recommendation but standards in the kitchen are slipping and on two recent visits with family members half of the dishes have been fine but half disapointing.

“Modern food and surroundings in an art decor exterior”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Food quality is above your standard pub grub affair, always a varied range of fish dishes in keeping with establishments name. The modern refurbishment now a couple of years old is still fresh and a nice contrast to the exterior. Prices in my view are reasonable in the past 2 years i have been on several occasions and will continue to visit in my top 5 for the furness area.

“My Experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

I recently dined at the Fisherman's Arms for Sunday Lunch. The restaurant environment was very pleasant. The menu was quite varied, and the food quality and presentation excellent. The visit was spoilt by the exorbitant price charged for a glass of quite ordinary wine (equivalent to over £20 per bottle. I certainly will not visit again. You have been warned!
