“home baking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

We were staying at the Rosegarth and had coffee in the tearoom one morning. Being a lovely day, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view. I ordered a scone with my coffee - it was huge and still warm from the oven. When we said how much we liked it the lady offered to keep a couple aside for us to take on our journey home the following day.

“a pleasant friendly restaurant with good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Stopped for a quick snack before heading off to see the Roman Fort at Hardknott Pass. A pleasant enough establishment with superb views over the estuary. I always like a place that has bowls of water for visitors dogs. Just tea and a piece of cake to see us on our way at a reasonable price. If you use the toilets be VERY careful of the access as the step is immediately inside the door and the ceiling is low. Rather grubby also.

“Just had tea but the view was splendid!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

What a lovely spot for a simple pot of tea. Nothing much to say about that but it is terribly tired inside and looked to have last been decorated 40 years ago. Ravenglass, the village on a sunny day would be a hard act to follow.

“breakfast”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Visited the team rooms for breakfast. We were told that breakfasts didn't start until 11 a.m. I feel sure that 11 a.m. is the time when you are starting to think about lunch
