This B & B was included in our UK Coast to Coast travels, Frizington is off the actual hiking route and the owners advertise a free pick up and drop off from the C2C route. Just a phone call from a public box on arrival at Ennerdale Bridge and 15-20 minutes later we 4 walkers were on our way to Inglewood Guest House. The Guest house a modern home, is located in an exclusive residential area among similar homes. No recommended nearby place for a meal, so the owner drove us to a Pub and a taxi was used to return afterwards. Our twin bedded room was furnished with small refrigerator and microwave tucked away in an akward sloping attic cupboard/wardrobe. Linen and furnishings were clean and of good quality. Ensuite bathroom fitted with shower, handbasin and toilet - the shower temperature appeared non adjustable; warmer would have been nice. In our friends, ensuite bathroom the bath had plenty of hot water, but problems with only cold water in the shower setting. We mentioned this to the owner, however the offhand response was that their guest house always had plenty of hot water for all, surely a quick look at the problem would have been a better response. Our friends used our shower. In our friends fridge there was a half eaten left over sandwich, and at breakfast a couple of pieces of cutlery had baked-on food. In both rooms the towels were odd, fluffy and clean but not at all absorbent! Breakfast was disappointing no fruit or yoghurt as stated on the menu. Both the host and hostess were a pleasant couple, however we felt perhaps their busy lives outside their B & B activities were contributing to some oversights in service.
