“Fantastic peaceful B & B in the country.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Stayed in this wonderful B & B for just one night but will definitely be returning.
After parking in the gravel drive of this beautiful Victorian farmhouse, we were shown to our beautiful, spacious twin room and Joanne then prepared us a lovely pot of tea with tasty coffee cake.
Our room was immaculately clean and tasteful decorated with very comfortable beds and crisp cotton sheets. There was tea, hot chocolate, coffee and biscuits provided, as well as the usual t.v and hair-dryer. Next door was our bathroom which was enormous, with shower, bath and Bayliss & Harding soaps and gels provided. The shower was enormous and suitably powerful.
Downstairs was the guest's lounge, with t.v, roaring wood fire, comfy chairs, books and area guides.
Our breakfast was taken in the dining room and was fit for a king, with cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, toast as well as a full English, juices and tea/coffee. It kept us going for the rest of the day.
The B & B accommodation is set out in the main area of the farmhouse and our friendly hosts, David and Joanne live in a beautifully designed extension to the 1878 building. There appeared to be 2 x double ensuite bedrooms and 1 twin with private bathroom for guests. A quick peak into one of the doubles showed them to be of equally high standard to our own.
We were visiting Reaseheath College in nearby Nantwich but wanted somewhere quiet nearby and this fitted the bill. We booked through Expedia and our only worry was when the Tom Tom took us down the long country lane leading to the B & B but then abandoned us before reaching our destination - Expedia didn't give us a contact number - but we continued down the lane and eventually found it.

Room Tip: Please note that the twin room has a separate bathroom.

This is a great B&B in the quiet Cheshire countryside. This lovely Victorian farmhouse was extensively updated in 2013 to an exceptional standard, retaining all the Victorian features but with a contemporary twist.

I stayed in their twin bed room, which is a huge, light and airy room with 2 wonderfully comfortable twin beds with crisp linens and a cosy duvet. Next door was my private full bathroom with large walk in shower and bath. Travetine tiled walls and floor with underfloor heating. Large, soft bath towels made this stay a quality experience - wonderful.

I was at an event on Friday and Saturday and needed breakfast at 07:45am, which was no problem for Joanne and what a great breakfast it was. Full English, good range of quality cerials, fresh fruit salad (different both days), fresh fruits, unlimited toast and home made jams and honey.

Overall, a B&B of exceptional quality in a superb country location.

If you are towing a trailer, don't go up the drive - there is nowhere to turn round and the curves in the drive make it impossible to back up. David will sort you out somewhere to park.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Just what I needed for the four nights on a week long training in Nantwich. Classy! Both the hosts, extremely polite and helpful. Very well converted farmhouse. Slightly away from the town - get dinner before you come. High speed data network would probably be unavailable. Wifi available. Breakfast, plenty of options; high quality food. Well stocked tea/coffee table. Confortable night's sleep. Absolutely top class everything that you expect from a 3star B&B. No farm animals or dogs.

We had to travel at short notice, and we chose New Hall Farm because of the superb presentation on the web site. Well above many other establishments in the area.
The accommodation was bright clean and well heated. When we left home, the temperature was approx 30’+ Centigrade, so the cold was a bit of a shock, the warm comfortable rooms were a very pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable and a good size. I am not the smallest of people.
The bathroom was excellent and very clean. The nicest bathroom I have ever seen. Spoilt us a bit actually. 6 stars.
The breakfasts were excellent and we both had cooked breakfasts each morning of our stay. We did not need lunch at all. It was wonderful.
The tranquil gardens with views over open farmland, with squirrels foraging around the apple tree, just lovely. Parking was very good with easy access to and from the property.
The house it self has been restored to a very high standard and is in the style of an old farmhouse. The furnishings were of a style suitable to the period of the house and very tastefully done. It reminded us of our Grand Parents, and we felt very comfortable here.
Joanne & David were very helpful in every respect and nothing was too much trouble, even though we were both majorly jet lagged, after such a long journey.
I cannot recommend New Hall Farm highly enough, and would have no hesitation in staying there again. Thanks for everything.

We spent 2 nights at New Halls Farm B&B this weekend and can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Joanne made us feel so welcome, presenting us with a lovely pot of tea and extremely tasty home made cake in the living room after showing us round.

Our bedroom was large and aery spacious and airy. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, no complaints at all! Our en suite bathroom was a great size, with a fantastic shower and bath - both recommended; the water pressure is excellent! Both bedroom and bathroom were spotless and were subtly tidied while we were out during the day so we arrived back to them once again sparkling clean. There was a well stocked tea tray in the room, with fresh milk provided. Five star hotel standard bedroom and bathroom, in a B&B. Perfect.

We have stayed in a few B&Bs and you can feel a bit uncomfortable about spending time in the living room rather than sitting in your bedroom, but we didn't feel that here at all. We spent hours relaxing in front of the fire, reading and drinking tea!

As others have mentioned, the breakfast is excellent. David came in to chat with us and the other couple who were staying, before cooking us up a lovely breakfast; the perfect start to the day.

The whole B&B is spotless, tidy and extremely welcoming. It only opened in November last year and every effort has gone into the decor, with both Joanne and David seeming entirely at ease with their new venture.

There is a good variety of places to eat nearby, all with good reviews and within 2 miles (so could be walked on a warm summer evening!). We visited the Dysart Arms (1.7m) and The Yew Tree (1m) and had lovely meals at both. I'll leave full reviews of each on their pages! Would recommend booking a table and taxi in advance, they get busy! We couldn't find a taxi on our first evening and David was kind enough to take us and even offered a lift home too (we managed to find a taxi to save calling him out!) - I don't know many B&Bs who would be so helpful and accommodating!

Highly recommended, I am sure we'll be back next time we visit Cheshire.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bunbury room which was perfect!

We stayed here the day before my sisters wedding at the castle. The accomodation, quality of serviceand food were excellent. The breakfast was significantly better than that at Peckforton castle (at a fraction of the price). We would definitely return here in the future. Well done to the owners!

For starters I turned up unannounced & was made to feel very welcome straight away, I couldn't find anywhere to stop after a long days work because I had no reception on my phone & as luck would have it I found New Hall Farm b&b, they've spent a lot of time & money getting this place looking like it does, the attention to detail is second to none!

I stayed in the double en suite room which is a very spacious bright room with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, the en suite has a large Velux roof window with views over the surrounding fields & as for the power shower I didn't want to get out of it, really really impressive!! The only problem with it is you can't get out of the way of the stream to wash your body but it's a small price to pay, there's a strong wifi reception in the room too which I personally find important, in a lot of b&b's reception is poor in rooms, I was brought cookies & milk up to my room once I'd settled too after I'd turned up out of the blue!!

They serve breakfast between half 8 & half 9 but they made mine for 8 O clock which was nice, they have a lot to offer too, full English, scrambled egg on toast, beans on toast & continental as well, tea, coffee or fresh orange juice is also available... I can't recommend this place highly enough & I've stopped in a lot of b&b's!
