“A real joy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Myself and family stayed for 2nights in a family room it was we presented and clean all beds were tested to with in a hair of there life as my to kids saw 3 beds as a jumping gym the minuete they thought they could get away with it. The bathroom was clean and had all that was required w/c, sink and bath/shower combo as well as a heated towel rail and the one thing that was great for us was the light above the mirror as we left this on at night for the kids as when the bathrooms main light is on so is the fan.
All the staff were fantastic helping with as much as they could getting us a fan for our room as it was rather warm and allowing us to store 4 fresh button holes in there staff fridge. Aswell as interacting with the kids ever time we passed through.

Only tiny con is that the tv was a bit dated but i was not there to watch tv

As for food the breakfast was in the blue cap restraunt next door about 2 meters away from hotels main door there was cooked to order hot food aswell as a varied selection of other food toast, yoghurts, fresh friut, crumpert, muffins, dried fruits and seeds as well as many diffrent types of tea and friut juices and coffee.

We also ate here on our first night there was 4 adults and 2 kids the servers were geat all smiles and laughting with all the tables it was a busy night but we were not kept waiting for our food any longer that i would expect. The menu had everthing on it includeing PASTA dishes (large printed menu was not new and there were specials on the board).
The kids had a good choice aswell.

Now for price well 3 of us had 3 courses and the other had 2 both kids had 2 courses and there was around of drinks aswell and splitting the bill with 6 of us came to £15 a head all food was great and the only thing left on the plate was some fish batter as the cod was massive and very filling :-)

All in all a great little trip

We found the receptionist very helpful, chatty and made us very welcome. Could not do enough to help us. We stay at Premier Inns on a regular basis and found this one a bit dated. Needs a bit of TLC to bring it up the usual standard of Premier Inns. Had a meal in the pub next door which was ok. Very surprised to see no pasta on the menu!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back as the noise can still be heard there, so must be noisy at the front

We found this place hard to find and despite the sat-nav we ended up at the Northwich (this wants looking into as its not right.) Staff were all excellent, friendly, chatty and kind and helped us with directions. When we eventually arrived at Sandiway which is next door to the Blue Cap pub and restaurant. We found the place clean, comfortable and friendly. The Blue cap were also very friendly and service quick. The room was quiet, and I loved how they left a little note to advise us about the warmth and what we could do to request fans or cooler bedding. It would be lovely if Wi-Fi was free and Breakfast made cheaper as I cannot eat the full choice due to being gluten free. but all in all another super premier Inn and Thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms without a car park view, although I cant imagine that side is noisy as the area is qui...

Arrived a little early but received a lovely welcome from the receptionist.

We had a family room with a large comfortable double bed and two single beds; one occupied by a teenager and another by an adult and both said the beds were comfortable.

It has been hot but the receptionist advised that if we found the quilts too heavy she could provide us with cotton sheets – a nice touch. We had a room at the back of the hotel and wasn’t disturbed by any noise from the dual carriageway.

I agree with a previous review that the television in the room is very old and very small, but we have only used the room to sleep in, and the television was adequate to catch the morning news!

Lovely powerful hot shower and all four of us had a lovely large towel; with the receptionist advising us if we needed more we just had to ask...

Breakfast was served in the Chef and Brewer pub next door (The Blue Cap) which was lovely; help yourself buffet of coffee, tea, fruit juice, large choice of boxed cereals and fresh fruit and yoghurts and a DIY toaster for bread with a nice selection or marmalades and jams. Full English breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious.

We had been out and we returned to a full pub car park but there is a very large car park at the rear of the hotel. The receptionists had changed shifts and we received another lovely welcome from the new lady; she also advised us if we wanted anything to let her know.

Also lots of sachets of tea and coffee in the room and more was bought when requested.

All in all a fabulous stay and I will definitely be recommending to friends.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you are light sleeper as there is a dual carriageway outside the hotel...

I just stayed here for a night with work, arrived around 9.30pm so knew it was quite late to get food however having stood behind the bar for over 5 minutes being ignored by staff more interested in stacking the shelves began to get, more frustrated, however eventually managed to order and food was fine. Even after dinner going to the bar became a lengthy process with the bar staff seemingly intent on doing anything other than serving drinks, in fact a couple of other customers were looking at me with expressions suggesting the same thing. After dinner I proceeded to try and get booked into my room only to be told I was not booked in which was clearly wrong. Several phone calls from out on the road later as there is no phone signal the mix up was finally sorted. Overall I feel that they need to look at their staff attitude since it reflects badly on the whole experience. Also charging for Internet access in this day and age is poor practice. As this was for work I can cope with it but frankly anyone looking to use this as a break should look elsewhere. As a note I have stayed here before on a couple of occasions and prior to this the service was as one would expect with this type of establishment.

It looks like Premier Inn have simply bought the old Sandiway Blue Cap hotel, and changed the sign above the door. Everything looked like a Premier Inn, but without a lot of the touches, There was only a heater in the room, and critically (for this week in particular) no air conditioning. I had the window open during the night, but the hotel is situated on a dual carriageway so the traffic noise was dreadful from 6am onwards.
The television in the room was a very old, small CRT, that squashed the freeview image into it's tiny screen.
We ate in the Chef and Brewer pub next door, which was fine - nice food, friendly staff, but overpriced drinks. Breakfast too was served in here, and was lovely. Cooked breakfast was done to order, with everything else on a help yourself counter.
In summary, it was adequate, for a one night business trip, but nothing more.

Thanks for the review of your stay.
I'm sorry to hear that the hotel didn't meet your expectations in some areas. The rooms don't have air conditioning at the moment and in extreme heat can become warm. We do our best to keep the rooms cool and provide fans to help with this.
As for the televisions, we are awaiting the arrival of flat screen TVs as we are aware that these need updating.
I do hope the other aspects of your stay were more than satisfactory.

Warm regards
