We were invited here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and things got off to a bad start when we had to wait 25 minutes for a table, even though she had booked. Waiting, especially for a large party, involves standing in the lobby area, next to the door and having to keep moving out of the way. We eventually got our table, and ordered our food and drinks, which were fine, although we had to remind them about the water we had ordered. However, service was mixed: the young staff were extremely busy and coped very well, but the manager/owner (?) was frequently rude to both them and us. For example, when I asked for "English Breakfast" which appears on the menu as such under a selection of teas, I was asked to repeat it three times, before he said "you mean tea". Also when we tried to order coffees instead of desserts, he yelled "no" and took all the menus back before asking what drinks we wanted (which were on the menus!).
The restaurant was very busy, and they seemed to be trying to serve too many covers, as the tables are too close together, and lots of other customers had to wait for their tables. The food was good, if not outstanding, and we thought it was reasonably priced (but then, we live in London!)
