“Worth every penny! That's why we keep going back.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

My husband and I have visited Rookery on a number of occasions and it never fails to deliver. I've reviewed this hotel before because its my treat of choice but this time was even better than before. The meal was absolutely incredible. We both had scallops to start - stunning! I had beef medallion and my husband had lamb for our mains. Both dishes were absolutely beautiful! Perfectly balanced and seasoned to perfection! I had rhubarb crumble soufflé for desert (never had it before), again, absolutely delicious. My husband had cheese board (5 choices of cheeses) which he devoured despite being a tad full but it was all too fabulous to even think about leaving any! The rooms are spotless & very comfortable and with the Spa facilities as well, what's not to like. Overall - absolutely tremendous!

We stayed at Rookery Hall Hotel and Spa for my best friends wedding which I was Best Man for, the venue was stunning and set in peaceful Cheshire countryside. The room was marvellous with a modern, stylish bathroom with bath and tv, seperate shower included as well as the normal faciltiies. The bed was very comfy and just what was needed after a late night at the reception / confernance suite. The staff were all friendly and couldn't help enough, espically the wedding coordinator Jane who was there with the Bridge and Groom and guests every step of the way.

From the time we arrived, we were treated excellent and made to feel like VIP's. The executive room was excellent, very clean with a great view. Some really nice touches like the tv in the bathroom!!
The bar was quiet with a hint of relaxing background music. We booked a table for dinner in the restaurant, the food was small portions but was very nice and filling. We chose to have breakfast delivered to the bedroom, in which we got a call 15 minutes before hand, the breakfast itself was excellent and very enjoyable. I only have a few things i would change, the price of the drinks and the meal and the choice of meals. I know that hotels have to make money on food and drink, but if the prices were more reasonable people would have a little more and more money would be made everyone's happy. Saying all that i wouldn't hesitate to go back, superb

Hello,

Thank you for reviewing our hotel and what lovely words you have left for future travellers.

Feeling like a VIP is what we strive for for all our guests so when we read those words it makes it all so worthwhile.

The Executive rooms really are worth that little extra with A/c, Tv in the bath, modern feel, fridges in the wardrobe and wonderful views over Cheshire.

Breakfast is so important at Rookery , we keep trying to improve it and this will never stop.

See You soon

Stephen

What a wonderful hotel! We always used to stay here before we got married and I booked to go back last weekend for a surprise treat for my husband , the hotel was absolutly fantastic just how we remember it if not even better!!! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was amazing an our room was superb! The added bonus this time was having the spa which was so relaxing! Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We had a delux room in the new part of the hotel the view was superb!

We arrived at Rookery Hall for part of our Ruby anniversary celebration, we took afternoon tea and later dinner, both were of a high standard. We came on a recommendation from my brother who also rated it highly. Will certainly stop here again.

We stayed at Rookery Hall Feb 13 and we were more than happy with the stay we had.

Room: it was in the modern part with our daughter who slept on a very large and comfortable sofa bed. The room was well equipped with fridge, TV in the bathroom, safe. The bathroom had a walk in shower with individual jets that made such a difference.

Restaurant: this was in the old part of the hotel. Very grand and elegant, every window had a fantastic view of the 38 acres that surrounds the hotel. Food is out of this world with a AA 2 star rosette award. The menu full if choice with a wine list to match.

Staff: Very friendly and knowledgable of the food and wine. They all pay a close attention to detail even calling you by your name! Nothing is to much trouble for them all done with a smile.

Leisure facilities: The pool is large with a steam room, sauna, and very large hydro pool that could fit 12-15 people in at once. The whole area is very clean and staff are always cleaning different areas.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It's has such a relaxing atmosphere that contributes to a wonderful stay.

stayed at the hotel valentines night , we had been invited to the evening reception being held at the hotel. we were in the old part of the hotel... absolutely lovely , the room was really nice , very spacious , three windows overlooking the hotel garden and fields beyond . We enjoyed the afternoon tea and we could see the wedding pictures being taken from the dining area . a roaring fire and tables all set with the china .. perfect . we looked around the health club and could have used the facilities but decided to rest in the room . If you were to book the hotel I would say if they have a room available In the older part i would recommend you go for it . they are named by the months of the year . We were in March room , very nice indeed .

Room Tip: we stayed in MARCH room , would recommend this.
