“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The food at The Thatch is always of a consistently high quality and the staff are always friendly. The fact that this restaurant is always full of people speaks for itself. I would heartily recommend a visit to this beautiful restaurant.

“Do not fall for the good reviews”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Bad points: Dry crispy overcooked Salmon. Stale cheap frozen chips. Gravy is mixed with bisto type granules. Mash is 50/50 instant/real mash. All the course in our 4 meals were terribly overcooked. No attention to detail to any of the meals. I can only think that most people that eat here don't know good food from bad.

Good points: Nice beer on the day.

This was a real letdown. It isn't cheap and its below standard pub food.

“Excellent Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

A party of twelve visited The Thatch for a Sunday lunch to celebrate family birthdays. We were very impressed with the service which was friendly and very efficient. All our food was served at the same time and it was delicious. The meat was cooked very well and the vegetables were nicely al dente. Puddings were also fulsome and enjoyed by everyone who chose a pud! The wine list is also very good and not overpriced. We will most definitely return and can whole heartedly recommend.
